    Congrats for ur purchase,nice car

    one question please.

Can we find the online auction sheet of a car which has been auctioned in japan, purchased by a dealer in Pakistan. These dealers never provide us with the auction sheet. can we find it on internet? is there any central database for it?

It depends. My colleague's 1.3 Gli is Oct 2011 and it is just 2500 driven. Its total drive is from home to kid's school and back. Exceptions are always there.

I personally have seen such cars in Karachi - in the expensive brands, you can pull information of the actual engine hours and drivetrain mileage - the cluster can be fooled to show a diff mileage with some hack jobs but its easy to see the real mileage. In the small car flavor category, mileage is stored to NVM, but that NVM can be "taught" too.Everyone here on PW has heard about Toyota hilux Vigo failures - One similar vehicle was given to me for repair - it was a Hiace, I was shocked to see that the oil filter on the engine was original (what the factory puts on) - mind you this filter is not available as spare part - when you open it, you will find it tightly packed with cotton fibre type material. The other bit was that the fuel filters were also FS parts. the mileage on the ODO showed something of 20,000/- but the steering wheel, seats, gear lever, light stalk had smoothed out, more like polished out, Its obvious that a human being does not have "regmaal" for skin that could cause that. - I also saw the so called japanese auction sheet which claimed the recorded mileage to be 19,000 or something.Someone within Japan should confirm that is mileage recorded in Japanese car registration/taxation systems or are these auctioneers just picking them up at the auction - which opens a great window of oppurtunity for such activity.

What i meant to say was said by @xufiqar bhae, Hybrid cars are bought to be driven not parked in the garage
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Be sure to post his ad here on PW so NO-ONE actually buys it - the problem with such low mileage old cars can be lack of maintenance - rubber parts age with time not kilometers - and a moving car gets them replaced over its life, if they are not replaced due to low mile excuse then the next owner buying it as "low use car" will be replacing all parts collectively.A machine also ages, making it a time capsule does not stop aging.

If you can manage to get the regn number of the car previously alloted to a car being exported, you can easily verify the mileage from regn authorities. Japanese are very strict in odometer frauds.

The discussion about odo is consequence of a member who questioned low odo reading

    Thumbs up Awesome!

MashAllah and congratulations! I hope you drive the car safely and enjoy the years of economical motoring ahead!

As for the odo discussion, after going through Shahrabi's thread on Japanese used imports to Pakistan and the meter reversing being done like crazy I now look at every used import with suspicion. I think you are really lucky to have bought an original low mileage car like yours.

well i'd not talk about the mileage tempering thing like most others (although they make sense) i'd like to ask u how many kilometers the car does in a litre of petrol? and can u please post a short video of u driving it with it switching from petrol to batteries and the other way around. also show up what those extra meters etc show while driving the car and hows the acceleration? its a 1400cc engine, right? whats the engine code? what series? L? R? or are there seperate series for hybrid cars?
