8km/l???? That's only possible when you select gear one in the prosmatec transmission and floor it without changing gears!
That's impossible, u should've got it checked. Maybe there was some issue with the engine which could've come up on the Honda OBD scanner.
I had a 2002 civic and I currently also have a 2005 civic. Both cas breaks were less superior than this cars. But I did feel it slightly difficult to brake on a recent trip to Islamabad. And I asked my father to test drive it. He however didn't find anything wrong. So brakes could be a valid point. But I haven't faced any issues in emergency braking yet. I will make sure I get them can checked on its 10,000 kms free maintenance check.
As for the paint, a lot of people have mentioned in my thread ( https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=218360) that the 'orange peel' appearance is normal. However i do find it to be of inferior quality when compared to my silver 2005 civic.
As for rust on the brakes, I haven't seen that. It's quite possible that it could be parked there for warranty replacement of brakes
As you can see on this thread ( https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=224157) they're replacing stuff in warranty like sheets on the door so I'm sure if a customer points out that the brakes are rusted or don't work, they will replace them if necessary.
Well as you're a car nut and an importer (a very rare combination), you've the luxury of importing an actual 5A car and get it fixed if God forbid something happens to it (like radiator replacement or headlight replacement, etc)
So I now know why you didn't like it.. You had an excellent alternative. But people like me and others on this thread don't have the same line of work as yours so we are dependant on Honda for our 'luxury family sedans' :p

Na bhai. We need to know what the story behind this is. He mentioned brakes ka masla hai and I too have felt on some occasions that the brakes are a bit weak. See, this discussion does bring fruitful results

What did you replace your Civic with? And how's the experience going so far?
I'm glad you don't trust these dealers. Which is why you get good quality imported cars.

A lot of stuff has been going on regarding the mileage of this car, here is a little something which I felt during a recent trip in it.

Usually, on an even road, or moving downhill, cruise control is a healthy option to maintain speed. Otherwise this car will gain speeds very well above the speed limits and won't even let you feel the slightest of anything if you don't look at the digits on the dash.

BUT, it really screws up your gas mileage if you use it uphill. It floors the car HARD to maintain speed, that's what I've felt. The normal economy of 14-15kpl dropped down to hardly 9 kpl when driven with cruise control uphill. Turn the cruise off and accelerate softly, the mileage will still remain in 13-14 kpl numbers.

I consider what it does for an 1.8L car pretty decent, provided my 1.3L Corolla GLi drinks a liter every 9 or 10 kilometers.

If you mean motorway then NO, it gives me a steady 14 kpl, sometimes 15 when driven no more than 120 kph. If you mean GT road etc, then yes. Local economy and on long routes except motorway is almost the same. Roughly 450 kms in every 40L refill.

That's true. But at those places where there are steep climbs, disengage cruise control and accelerate gently with foot. You will get even a better mileage. :-)

I am sorry, but nothing is clearly visible in the picture. If the values were a bit clearer, only then we would be able to say thumbs up or wow or something...
