The same thing used to happen in my 8th gen civic
But that car was already 46 k kms driven and I bought it second hand / used
This one is just brand new and was perfect till almost 16 k kms
What could be the issue ?
    Bad quality fuel ?
Because the mechanic at Honda 3 s who checked the car for 15 k inspection , checked everything throttle response low speed idling and said everything is fine just use hi octane for a few days
Now I have used hi octane still I can feel that
    So any suggestions ?

bad quality fuel .. is one if the problem ...always get it refilled fron reputed pumps ...
also for new few fills .. top up the tank using 60:40 or 70:30 ratio of high octane ... if it doesnt go away get it can ckecked

Dear 9th gen owners I am facing a problem these days , well not a problem but the car is acting a bit different now

When the Ac is on and the car is in P , if I bring it to R the car vibrates for 2 seconds , passengers however couldn't feel that vibration but the driver can
I have felt it many times in last 2 weeks and my father also has observed this
If the Ac is off then it behaves normally and no vibration is felt

And same thing happens if I shift to D from N or from N to R with AC On , the car vibrates for 1 to 2 seconds

And yes sometimes I have observed when I apply brakes and car comes down to a speed of 3 or 4 km/hr that is in slight motion it vibrates for Again 1 to 2 seconds
Again I repeat if Ac is off this doesn't happen

Recently changed the oil , oil filter , air filter
Car has done 17.5 k kms
The mechanic at 3 s honda told me to get hi octane in good ratio to avoid this
Just for the sake of checking if he was right after using the full tank I got hi octane for 1500 rupees
The car is not vibrating like it was before
But still i can sense slight vibration for 2 seconds if ac is on and I bring it to D or R from N or P

What could be the problem ?
if the rpm comes down to the point where the car starts vibrating, my guess is to get the throttle checked. Maybe its dirty or the idle setting needs adjustment

the car is absolutely fine if the Ac is off and rpm comes down if i shift to D or R
Happens with AC only , if the rpm comes down when I shift to D or R
Will get Hi octane in 60 : 40 ratio for next 2 fills
    I hope theek hojaye
And yes the vibration is hardly for 2 seconds max

Guys today went to buy Engine Coolant for my civic form Honda 3s Dealer. . he showed two products Type 1(Green) & Type 2(Blue) . . I was bit confused, what to buy then he recommend me Antifreeze/Coolant Type 1 (Green color) . . But when i saw on Honda?s owner manual it is written to use Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2

Please help me out should I use the type-1 or type-2?

I've purchased Type-1 on the recommendation of 3s Dealer. . Should I pour it without any hesitation or I should i replace it with type-2?

If I were you, I would top up to match the color. There is another option, you can drain all the coolant and replenish the radiator with Liqui Moly. Its pre mixed and is blue in color

There is no use of wasting the stock coolant, just go to 3S and buy the exact match.

Coolant lasts 167,000 kms in case of Toyota, they have even placed a sticker in engine bay mentioning it. I replaced mine just for the heck of it after seven years @ 100K kms maintenance otherwise it was in excellent condition. The 3S used to level it up during periodic maintenance for free. I even leveled it up with with Nestle (the stock one) and it was still good.

Anybody having an idea if there are jacks available to hook up an external mic with the Honda Nav head unit? Just to share, there is an option available at its back - there are pins defined for it but not a 3.5mm female jack to plug in a mic.

Quality of the built in Mic is not satisfactory i would say. External mic would be a great add on for those who use the bluetooth handsfree regularly.

    cheers!

Civic 1.8 mt owners please share your average fuel consumption in following situation

Within city-light foot-60-70km/hr- with and without ac

Within city-hard foot-100+km/hr with and without ac

motorway-light foot-90-100km/hr- with and without ac

motorway-hard foot-120km-140km/hr- with and without ac

Its a reality that vti oriel prosmatec is the preffered variant when its comes to 2013 civic but budget constraints have limited me to buying the base version.I would be very obliged if honorable pw members help me in this regard..thnx in adv
