I m not saying that 9th gen is better than 8th gen or 8th gen wasnt a good car...what i understand from this debate is that some 8th gen users are really finding difficult to upgrade to 9th gen as 8th gen's resale is simply fu**ed up, and those who sell now will have to suffer loss, thats y they are convincing themselves by looking for negative things in 9th gen and assuming that it will be refreshed in a year... It's amazing how we are cooking up changes when there is nothing like even in the minds of Honda atlas to consider such an early change! The experts on this forum should think if some car model has ever changed before two or three years its simply inconceivable especially when the civic sales are picking up. Luckily for atlas majority of the buyers don't read this forum before buying their car. By the way, the US version is much uglier if u ask me and wouldn't appeal to the Asian markets!

u r right it was rude but may be because i was just fed up by ppl talking about early refresh again and again just because it is being refreshed in USA, why ppl forget it is Pak not USA,, but id still say that 8th gen users are finding very hard to sell their cars at good price.. but if someone doesnt care for resale like u then it doesnt matter if car sells at 2-3 lacs less price...
anyways best of luck for Mark-X...

I have driven 1500 km on my 9th gen prosmatic but avg fuel economy I am getting is 10.5 km/ L which is not good as per Honda claim 39 MPG on highway and 32 MPG combined and 28 MPG city, but my combine is equal to 22 MPG, please let me know if someone is greeting better mileage.

Thats the best what u are getting for city drive. With Econ mode and a very light foot and minimum acceleration u can get 12km/l. But in traffic jam or with a little heavy throttle it ends up around 10. On long it can give u around 15 16 easily.

Also what I have observe car is doing little better than what it is showing on iMID display. So best way to calculate is fuel Ur gas tank and then after some drive fill it again and calculate it manually.

i hope u r using stock tyre size 195/65 r15, well u may need to change a bit of ur driving style as well as fuel station,, but still id say 10.5 is quite good for 1.8 L.. I have 2012 model Corolla GLi and its average never crossed 11 km/l in city despite that with same driving style i get 13 km/l in my honda city...

Let me share my experience. I tried almost all local cars. Fuel average is nearly same for XLI, GLI, Altis 1.6 Auto, Civic Auto, Altis 1.8 Manual i.e.10.5 Km to 11 KM in city. However City 1.3 manual is better by 2 km per kilometer. Reborn Auto is worst in city drive not more then 8 KM per liter. Honda City 1.3 Auto and Altis Auto 1.8 is nearly 9.5 KM / liter in city driving. Sorry about New Manual Civic I didn't tried yet.

Yes you are right about tyres it is company fitted euro star , I am not sure changing tyres will improve fuel economy but it is certainly killing driving pleasure, I guess I need to change them. Regarding fuel economy I have also heard after 10000 km it will slightly improve.

ur car doesnt deserve eurostar, simply go for yokohama advan db of same profile i.e 195/65 r15, u will feel the difference.. The authentic dealers of Yokohama in Lahore are J Rasheed Nila Gumbad and Tyre Track Faisal Town..Price is Rs.8600/-

Thanks for your advise on tyres will keep in mind, coming back to fuel economy in USA and Europe car manufacture have to declare fuel economy in USA it says 39 MPG on highway 28 MPG in City and 32 MPG combined which is equal to 16.50 km/liter, 11.8 km/liter and 13.5 km/liter, my question is why honda Pakistan is not declaring same fuel economy, are they using different engine or technology ? As per my driving experience I am getting 2 km less then above and I drove mostly with econ mode and have good driving habits.
