    I don't think it can work perfectly in any manual car let alone tiny 4-cylinders. The transmission be it manual or auto is independent of the cruise control, so an auto tranny car can upshift or downshift as required by terrain (uphill or downhill) or other resistances and only disengages when the driver hits the brakes. In case of downhill overtaking the car may shift to a lower gear if the driver is increasing speed to overtake; on releasing the accelerator pedal the cruise control remains engaged and the car shifts automatically in a higher gear. This is not possible in manual.

    On the other hand, cruise control on a manual car is disengaged not only by the brake pedal, but also by the clutch pedal, so if the car needs to be in a different gear in order to maintain speed, then the transmission can't do it on its own and the driver will have to do it by using the clutch. So in short cruise in manual only works for a certain speed in a certain gear that is usually a high gear.

    Not the same i think. Please enlighten me if I'm wrong.

    Finally after 200KM drive it shows an average of 9.8km/l and it is increasing because now i am not pushing the pedal hard. I also figured out that when ever you are above 50 , you must be in 5th gear and you should be very careful with accelerator because it effects mileage greatly as shown on the car screen.

    @wittycranium
    I didn't feel any difference when I was in 5th gear and fixed the speed around 70 km/h. It maintained that speed perfectly until I hit the clutch. I was reading in another forum in manual cars cruise control maintains the speed using throttle e.g if you are inclining it will adjust the throttle and accelerate if speed is decreasing and of course you only need the cruise control when you are driving in higher gears.

    I ll give you the exact answer next week. I am sure you can make the manual civic to give you even better average than prosmatic as it totally depend on your foot.

    You will cook your clutches along with some part of the transmission in the long run if you continuously drive in higher gears when being at low speeds.
    Secondly, don't look at the fuel average meter on the dash, its a shashka only. Calculate the mileage by emptying a whole tank of fuel and then dividing it over the trip covered in that tank.

    as for the milage thingy, its pretty much dependent on the situaiton, like what i am getting in local is about 11 km/ltr in local.. and if driving it on like islamabad highway then the average goes to about 13.5 km/ltr alhamdulilah.. milage of my car is 700 kms as yet... so im keeping my fingers crossed... i hope that milage will also get better with time as well inshallah
