Default civic 05 timing belt and bearing 10K

    AOA
I own civic 05 exi it has done 116K and i am seriously thinking of changing timing belt, I went to Honda service center I-10 and they told me that i have to change belt and bearing and they together cost 9,900 about 6K+ for bearing and 3K+ for belt.
I seriously doubt that these things are that expensive please advice where can i get the genuine or good quality belt and bearing in Islamabad and estimated cost
    Cheers all

    Hi Guys...
I have recently took estimate for my Honda Civic Exi Prosmatec (2005) for timing belt & bearing replacement from Honda Defence, Karachi. Now they are charging Rs. 21,000/- for replacing both of them. I am seriously thinking are they crazy?? any idea bros? How much they will cost me from Open Market (Genuine ones)?? and whats the best place to buy original honda parts from (except Honda dealerships as they are way tooooo expensive).....someone told me about Nasir Autos, Rimpa Plaza......

I think what he meant was that oem parts that are supplied to factories when they assemble the cars are different then what we get in the aftermarket

I got my timing belt changed....i was in doubt that my timing bearing is worn out but when the mechanic opens the console up he found no issye with any thing....he claims timing bearing noise is loud enough and speaks for its self......any ways i got the timing belt for 900 and it looks the same that honda gives for 3000 and mazdoori 1000.........so total in 2500 honda charges too much.
