i was away on a official tour for one week and on my return i noticed a strange problem in my car, when in the morning i started my car everything was normal but when i pressed brakes and put the car in R the car significantly started vibrating, i drove little bit no vibration in forward movement and then even no vibration in reverse everything was normal this same thing was happening from the last 2 days. i personally feel there is something wrong with the braking system as brakes are not releasing evenly and making vibration in the tires you can call it STICKY brakes.
rest no issues in braking or driving or any other thing everything is normal. pls comment on above issue what are the things which i need to get checked or fixed.
Oh sorry bro i mixed with another article of same type, just read it and now convinced that its the engine mount which is causing this problem. but one technical thing i dont understand is that why is it happening only in the morning and only in reverse whereas whole day my car is parked outside my office & when in the evening approximately after 8 hours when i start my car things stays normal no abnormality in reverse or any other thing.
so like what is it which is different in the morning !!!! its not even cold in karachi, so cant say cold start !!!!!!!!
It doesnt seems to be the mounting problem brother....is ur car on petrol or CNG?....if its on CNG then understand it that every automatic car comparatively more vibrate on R than in D...secondly check ur air filter..if its badly choke then this problem emerges..replace the air filter and then check..and lastly dont think too much about these kind of problems in cars.....
bro airfilter is new, car is purely on petrol driven 35k only, i dont know first i thought it was breaks problem got them checked and serviced everything was fine in the braking system. so now the only thing which is remaining is the damn engine mount apparently it looks ok to me but as per the article posted above its internal hydraulic failed which causes different sort of vibrations in the car. exact same problem which is mentioned in the article is happening with me, the car gets normal as soon as the engine temp reaches the optimum level.
had the exact same problem. Replaced the engine mounting, everything is back to perfect. One more thing DO NOT go for the cheaper solutions, you will regret it BIG TIME. Only use genuine parts, they eventually pay off.
the choice is totally yours. I did the very same, got the Thai one for 4k. the ride was still bumpy and vibration was very much there. And to my surprise it was totally useless within a month. Got the original one for 9k in a special deal. Got it fitted for 500 and my ride is as good as before. The rest as I said is totally your choice. BUT YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Guys as you all mentioned YES the culprit was the engine mount, on inspecting i saw that the mount was completely broken so replaced it on saturday and now car is back to normal i haven't drove much but car seems to be normal.
on my mechanic recommendation i took a risk and bought Thailand made mount not the N.O.K one which are flooded in the market, but International Rubber company Thailand mount.
well yes nothing could beat oem stuff but i got this mount after alot of research and found this one to be as good as oem one, i got it direct from the importer and the quality or rubber and of whole mount was also very impressive. up til now no problem at at all no vibration etc. this mount is not like same available in the market you have to search for it.
I have 6th gen (2000 VTI - AUTO) when ever i change to R its get bumped (JAHTKA KHATI HAY) mechinec said foundation KAMZOOR HAY.. its the same problem of engine mount... any idea what is the price for these mount..and how many have to change ...
