Default Increasing Ride Height (Civic 99)

I have a 99 Civic Oriel A/T (family car) that kisses almost every speedbraker in town... Just need to seat one person in the back and speedbrakers become my worst enemy.

Looking for recommendations on increasing ride height without compromising road grip too much.

Equipped with 14" wheels with 185/65 tyres and New shock absorbers.

What people normally do is they install so called CNG springs in the rear end of the car.... Even some times rubber pads can do the work in place of springs as I did in my charade. On front you can install spacers. I am not sure if these add ons effect your car's road grip but I can assure u that spacers sometimes make noise in ur front suspension when you meet potholes and things like that. For second opinion you can go to any shocks and jumps wala, he might tell you the real scenario according to your ride!!

check your rear struts, if your car is really soft to bounce at the rear, replace them as they must be fully compressing under 1 passenger load.. Also check the trailing arm bushings, they are known to break and cause sagging due to alignment upset.

Spacers already present. Will visit a suspension guy and see what he has to say. Thanks.

What is the local lingo for struts and trailing arms bushings?

if you have good rear struts and correct ride height - then you might want to look into replacing your civic with a potohar for good ground clearance.

    AOA
    there is a question,
What about the length of the shock when we use different spring?
let me try to explain my question,
Suppose there is a shock without spring, and it is fully pressed , now its length is 10 inches.
if its fully opened it gives 20 inches length.
When its install in a car with original spring what will be the length.
    Regards,

If you have problem with the laden weight, why don't you go for stiffer springs at the back, and retain your stock height?

Changing the car wont be a solution
    @poster
Bro have u ever thought of upgrading to 15s ? u have already changed to TOKICO which are relatively stiffer than OEM ones , even after that if u have ground clearance issue then going for more profile would increment height keeping in mind that u go for the best tyre size aswell - although upgrading to Bigger rims does effect the suspension and acc. i.e the fact that its auto tranny
Neways it could be a solution

on rear go for 15s with aspect ratio 65. ur problem will definitely be solved. however keep away those 15s with any configuration on front. those will rub front fenders.
