Default Increasing Ride Height (Civic 99)

I have a 99 Civic Oriel A/T (family car) that kisses almost every speedbraker in town... Just need to seat one person in the back and speedbrakers become my worst enemy.

Looking for recommendations on increasing ride height without compromising road grip too much.

Equipped with 14" wheels with 185/65 tyres and New shock absorbers.

Nonetheless both are good ideas. Which springs do you recommend?

Can't name a specific brand. For my EK I bought Tokico adjustable dampers set with stiffer springs from Bilal Gunj. 7K, I paid for them; been in my car for more than 2 years now.
They work fine: ride height is not compromised, tyres don't touch the fenders, car doesn't touch speed humps so often, car handles better, and looks fine.

If you are going for stiffer ones, things you should consider are: wire thickness and spring height, as I'm sure you already knew. These factors sum up the spring rate. Look for spring rate on the internet to get an idea what kind of springs would suit you.

so it seems that it is my car's cat-converter (aagay wali dholki ) that rubs on speedbreakers... are alternate sizes available? something a little thinner (cross-section height) would probably solve my issue.

Why would you need day time pictures, I can see it fine and I'm sure anyone with a monitor from 21st century would do too.

Front end is already too high, back is fine.

Back end of my car is about an inch lower than yours, and front is a lot lower, but it still works fine. As far as I can understand, your suspension is too soft, and it doesn't take the weight so well.

Would it still touch speed humps if you're driving with no other passengers?

The original one installed by AH in place of the cat converter is torpedo shaped and the mid muffler behind it has its pipes offset which makes it sit higher, you cannot even see if you look under under the car from its side.

Well it does touch em sometimes. The rear is lower than the front end. I think it might be the coils. The struts are new so I'm ruling them out for now. New coils and that fishy resonator is what I need

Sometimes should be an exception brother. All Civic models, Margalla, Baleno, the lot do touch sometimes.

What kind of springs do you have at the front? I don't think they are genuine ones, or have you installed spacers etc?

New or old, dampers do not effect ride height at all. Your coil springs and rubber bushes do.

I'd suggest you to get rid of the spacers, if there are any, and install genuine springs at the front and slightly stiffer ones at the back. Try to find something like Tokico or other reliable brand, do study and compare their spring rate online- or get one from an Integra, that's not possible, is it?
I'd go even for good quality, local made ones for the back end- chose ones with the same wire thickness but an extra couple of coils- do not go for macho wire springs of any sort.

For the resonator, try to change its rubber mounts, if the resonator itself is OEM. Saggy, old mounts do cause problems like the one you're facing.

    Good luck

P.S. Can someone here tell me how'd changing to bigger rim size help?
