Default Honda Civic 2005 Poor Mileage on Gasoline. Help required.

Guys, I drive a 2005 Model Honda Civic Exi Prosmatic (Cng).
On CNG, the mileage is Ok. Around 110-130 Km (50% Local 50% Long).

But On Petrol, the mileage is terrible. Nowadays I am getting around 6-7 km/l max, that too with very light foot
i.e Shift gears at around 2k rpm and stay within 85-90 km/hr.

Can anybody guide me from where can I get its injector cleaned or get it diagnosed?

And Please don't start about CNG at all.
My daily travelling is 80-85 kms. Rwp to Isb
On CNG Rs. 550 on Petrol 1100-1200 Rs. So there is simply No comparison.

What can I do to improve the petrol mileage?
One more thing. The Car performance is fine. Gear changes are butter smooth, and it also revs till 6.5k Rpm when maxed out. (On Petrol)

Get it checked through 3s. They can tell you better than others.
Get its throttle body serviced and tappit adjustment.

I have a bad history with 3s. All they know and do is flush the Throttle and IACV.
I recently serviced its IACV as before it was having unstable Idling problem. Also cleaned Throttle body with a silicon-free throttle body cleaner. The only culprit which I can think of now are injectors. But the thing that is stopping me to mess with them is the performance.
Plus I really want to avoid any extra expenditures as it already is killing my pocket. Anyone here knows about someone with Ultrasonic Cleaners in Isb /Rwp?

Same's the case with my 2001 Civic VTi Prosmatec. It runs fine on CNG but it drinks petrol like water, around 8-9kmpl only And now that there's a scarcity of CNG these days in Karachi, I am thinking to get this issue fixed. Looking forward to some professional replies.

Will try some fuel treatments this weekend. Because technically the mileage should be around 11-12 kms/ltr.
Also will do the oil flush and will let you guys know. Till then all we can do is wait for professionals on this forum to comment.

I would recommend no experiments. Just go for TB + IACV cleaning and Fuel treatment. And see how it goes.

Replace your fuel filter asap. It must be clogged. AFter changing, use a bottle of a good injector cleaner like Liqui moly. Hopefully performance and mileage both will improve.

Which engine oil are you using?

Sir mind explaining how the "Idle air control valve" is gonna have an impact on the fuel consumption??

as this also happen to me
major problem was that fuel pump due to bad petrol it block the pressure of pump so i service it/change it and use high octane its rev limit goes 7200 rpm from 6200.
i think this is helpful for you.

From what I understood from the Service Manual, In Honda's PGM-FI system, Idling is control by ECM. When it detects irregular Idle states, To help make the idle more stable, the ECM would typically widen the injector pulse width (PW) slightly, and increase timing, when any type of load is sensed.

im not a pro but just my two cents.
get the tappets and throttle body serviced and use iridium plugs.
i dont think you need to change the fuel filter, that costs a lot. if its really clogged the car will do missing or idling.
same is the case with fuel injectors. if they need servicing, the car will do missing or idling.
i have the same car as yours but without CNG, i did the first three tthings as mentioned above and my mileage increased from 8 9km/ltr to 11 km/ltr.
if you still have doubts about the injectors, go to nazir autos in G-8 and let them diagnose the car. they do service fuel injectors ultrasonically.

The 'venturi' is restricting air flow ... making a huge difference.

Take it out, so the engine gets optimum air flow.
