Can we put k20a type r engine in 7th generation prosmatic civic? or need manual?
assalam o alaikum n I need to know is it possible and easy to swap a k20a type r engine in 7th generation prosmatic civic? as this engine is manual and comes with manual gear? please kindly elaborate on it or should I get a manual 7th generation civic for this swap?
and how we will change the gear transmission lever to a manual one? if putting a k20a in prosmatic civic?
thanks and i m a newbie to this all sorry for my dump knowledge regarding transmissions and gear systems ..
also I need to know can 7th generation handle the power of k20a type r? as my friend has told me that 7th generation is a little lite weight and it can not handle the power of k20a type r, and I should go for a 6th generation civic and k20a type r swap .. need suggestions on it too that can 7th generation easily handle the power of k20? without spinning around or going dump and in the air after 200KM/H
The 7th gen was reverted to a McPherson Strut front suspension, while the 6th gen had double wishbones. The reason was to make more space in the engine bay, specifically to accommodate Honda's (back then) newly designed K-Series i-VTEC engine.
In fact, the Philippines model Civic Si came factory fitted with the K20 A3 engine.
seems kool I have heard that there are some problems with k20a swap in 7th generation civic with its ac? as its harder to tune k20a working perfectly in 7th generation civic n also all its sensors working fine including ac too .. anyone with an experience can please clarify it? (that there was no AC issue with this swap?)
