I am sure car was downshifting.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

That is by default, It's a safety feature introduced by Honda Atlas for the first time in Pakistan. You can only view videos when the hand-brake is up, when the vehicle will move the video will stop showing. I think it's a great feature introduced!

^Huzaifa - personally speaking its a very stupid feature introduced i mean what is the point of having a DVD screen when you can only view videos when your car is actually parked. i mean who would want to sit in his car and watch videos. anyways everybody has its own pointofview.

@poster i will tell you whole procedure soon.

    AOA everyone
    hope everyone is doing fine
I took my civic today to honda classic for its first inspection. Everything went smooth, just one thing which bothered me was that they poured water into the coolant reservoir as the level was slightly low. I asked then to use coolant, heck I even told them I ll pay for the coolant bottle. But they, even the senior guy, said that always water is poured into it. Only the whole of coolant is replaced at 200k kms.
They say we do it in all the cars here. I hope they haven't ruined the cooling system or anything by pouring water in it. Anyone has similar experience?

Ye sirf bhai pakistan mein hi hota hai....always use good genuine coolant as water is not a very good coolant and it creates rust also. Also coolant is poured into the reservoir too otherwise water will make ur coolant more diluted and would make the coolant less effective.

So the 9th gen Civic is basically an upgraded 8th gen. They have made some changes to chassis that people say its smoother, they have changed the exterior looks(for the worse) but you can see the similarities to the 8th gen - specially in the interior. I thinks it wouldnt be a tall claim that 9th gen civic is just a make over of the 8th gen.

Unlike 7th to 8th gen, the things that mattered remained the same in this transition,

    The engine: Same
    Transmission: Same
    Fuel economy: Same

Steering: on 8th gen is weird. Its hard and there is some play in it, its not as smooth and responsive as its supposed to be. I have driven a couple of 8th gen civics and they all have this problem. I am not sure if they have improved this in 9th gen, have not driven one yet.

Suspension: on the 8th gen is all wobbly, it feels like you are driving a truck with that weird stiff steering.

If you are coming from a Mehran or a Cultus etc, you might not even spot these things. You wouldnt know what I am talking about. But some one who has lived abroad and driven cars over there, you certainly feel the cheapness of Pakistan made cars.

Its really sad to see that we in Pakistan pay so much money for these cars which actually are rubbish compared to what they make overseas. No wonder people happily spend fortunes on used JDM cars even when they know most of them are repaired and have meters tempered with.

I test driven a JDM Honda Fit hybrid and loved every thing about it. The ride was smooth, steering was soft but firm at the core like there was not play in it, you are in total control all the time. And lastly the accelerator response was amazing.

I wish we could have Mazda in Pakistan. Mazda 3 and 6 are so much better than corolla/civic and camry/accord. They are more powerful, more fuel efficient and offer much better value for your money.

they are doing right as in cars there is a specific concentration of coolant, when water lower its level coolant doesnt dissipate only water do. so dont be extra sensitive its ok :-)

New Civic has a different engine from 8th gen Civic. R18 vs R18A- A difference of 1 HP. I think it's to accommodate the " ECO-Mode" function!

Now is this auto fluctuation of the RPM normal or is there something wrong with the RPM control system. other then that there are alhamdulillah no abnormalities in the RPM or drive or acceleration system of the car.
Get the throttle service and it'll be gone.
