My Civic 9 Gen's doors are not locked automatically after i start driving it. Everytime I have to manually press the button to lock them. Any idea if auto-lock of doors is an available function in Civic 9 Gen 2016 model Prosmatic Oriel? Thanks

Auto lock door feature is available now on 10th Gen. It was not there in 9th Gen

Hi bros!.....My Question is about Navigation system installed in my 2015 civic. I have read about problems n issues this device has. (poor sound quality and shity camera, and few other issues)... Tracking world claim their latest device is much improved one. Since my navigation is still under warranty so I called them today and talked about my old systems replacement. My car is one year old and has driven 21000km so its under warranty. Tracking world is asking for 30000 for replacement charges and they say they will reinstall new device along with new HD cameras. Now i need opinion is this right amount of money they are charging? Will it be worth the upgrade?
    Regards..

In my opinion, the upgrade is not worth it because you need your cameras just for parking and sometimes......sometimes.....sometimes for video calling, so the cameras are not used that much, and they are good enough to help you park your car and the voice quality is just fine, but if you're really craving for more, then get your speakers changed.

Though I have not kept a manual Civic but generally users have reported the same thing. Manuals have 3000 RPM at 100 km/hr.
Prosmatec gives 2.5 at same speed

    Thanks
But doesnt that effect the Average?
As people do say that manual is more fuel efficient than prosmatic.
In city i get an average of 9.5-10 km/l

The manual transmission is more effective in Urban driving conditions due to a better control over RPM by changing gears and keeping them low. But the automatic transmissions are getting more refined each passing day. And the fuel average gap is decreasing.
Also to get the best out of even a manual you need to be very precise, controlled and concentrate.
    It's all about driving style.

    AOA everyone
    Hope everyone is doing great
    A small query
my civic went for the it's checkup. The brake pads need changing according to the worker. He showed me and the the metal pin was pretty close. The car is driven 20,400kms. Do the brake pads wear out this quick?
The car is driven in a nice manner, I do occasionally drive it fast and rash.....but not so much. It's an auto.
I was also planning on changing the fluids since it's more than 2.5 years now.
I ll change the rear pads too. better to get the complete set.
also they said the rotors might need resurfacing but the braking is extremely smooth so not gonna do that.
The brake oil level has also gone down a good amount

Getting the rotors tooled is a nice excuse for them to mint money. Inspect the rotors yourself when they take the tyres off. If you see even circular scratches and can feel them with your thumb, you might wanna get them tooled. Mine is driven around 27k km and I have recently started to hear chuuuun chuuuun when car comes close to a halt under braking. I'll be getting the brakes changed too(haven't figured out which set needs replacement though).
Yours should have lasted a bit more but it's okay, depends upon how often you get stuck in traffic and end up braking.
How much honnda quote for brakes reolacement?

Prosmatec brakes wear quicker. Also driving style matters. Mine don't last more than 20k.
A driver ending his pads on 30 in a manual transmission will end the ones on same car automatic transmission in 20. That's the difference and effect of brake pads between manual and auto transmission.

the disks does have some fine lines but those are due to normal usage. Nothing outta the normal wear.
the quoted 9ish thousand for the front pads and 7ish thousand for the rear.
that chuun chuun sound is the safety pin on the pad rubbing against the disk, get the pads replaced soon or else the metal pin will groove the disk.

If disks need tooling there is a simple method of checking it. Brake at 90-100 and notice if your wheels and steering vibrate upon braking.
