Bhaijan I think you haven't read my earlier post... This was the reading from trip to and from clifton to malir cantt on eco mode i.e. 44kms (22km approx per trip)... I never claimed it as average of my car but shared a single trip experience... For gods sake stop calling ppl liars... I don't have the time to make cheap edits on pictures to prove my point here... lolz yar jub meri car new thee tou wo 14 average dia karti thee coz i used to drive with care....but civic is not meant for soft drive.....anyways comparison banta he nai we are talking about average with set parameters like econ on, normal fuel not hi octane and normal city drive with atleast one quarter usage of fuel after refilling. Ghussay wali kia baat hy bro lets talk on merit and time will prove k kon sucha hy....

i have recently conducted a survey and arranging pics of various other users having 9th gen civics from friends and family so bhai jan no one confirmed me k civic city drive mai 12 say oper karti hy.

its always about your driving style and city conditions and fuel quality which matters while calculating average.

I am just of the opinion that we sud not misguide people who are about to take decisions weather to buy civic or Corolla these threads are very useful to get info. I myself read this thread before buying civic last February though my decision was final before that but there were lot of things which i came to know from this blog.

Agreed new car ke average bohat achi hoti hy coz we drive is with care too much care....baad mai jub normal chaliti hy tou lag pata jata hy. fastikhan please read my previous comments for checking exact average.

Yar bas kardo fuel average discussion and arguments over fuel average
in the last two pages, all I see are people showing how efficient their civic is. Bhai, agar itne he economy ke fikar the tu 1.8 lene he nahi the. Auto 1.8 le kar ab fuel economy par bhes kar rahe hain. My imid never went above 8.1 in local. Never cared. I just mix a little hi octane with normal fuel and enjoy the ride!!
my advice to you guys is that you should also do the same lol!
btw I have noticed that using even a little bit of hi octane makes the throttle response better and the car goes on the slightest bit of throttle

Yes agreed leeni 1800 cc n average ka rona....its true hi octane makes the drive smooth n powerful. I also sometimes use 10-40 litter ratio n enjoy the ride.

    Please help with tire selection.

Yokohama Advan dB v551 vs Continental (suggest equivalent model) vs Michelin (suggest equivalent model) for Civic 2013/2014?

Also, what is recommended width/aspect ratio, etc for Civic? Factory fitted is 195/65 R15.

Requirements are grip, soft ride, noise reduction, etc.

    k

Im using db advan 195/65/15 best for noise reduction and smooth floating drive. Never use oversized rim or tires its just like wearing big shoes on your feet.

Go for Continental CC5. Way better than Yokohama and Michelin. Personal experience

Average varies from city to city. A prosmatec civic can do even 12 - 13 km/l in Islamabad but same car will hardly cross 9km/l in cities like karachi and peshawar due to stop and go traffic.
9th gen prosmatec is more fuel efficient than manual because honda has improved gear ratios.

All over the world 9th gen Civic is mostly available with either 16 or 17 rims as well apart from the base model (that has 15). In my opinion (everyone has an opinion and you may differ) and my own personal experience there are 2 major drawbacks with 15 rims.
    1. Absolutely in appropriate proportion visible due to extra space in wheel arches with stock size of 195/65 r15 and a slightly chunkier design of car. Reborn 8th gen was acceptable with 15
    2. The ride on stock size is very bouncy and unstable.

So.... The best option would be going for 205/60-16 OR if ure not comfortable with expanding rim size go for 205/65-15. I had 205/65-15 first but changed afterwards to 205/60-16 and the latter one is a lot better experience. No significant difference in comfort with 16 but better stability due to lesser flexibility of side walls resulting in a more stable rubber configuration. Please do keep in mind bigger rims size tyres start getting better in comfort grading and quality both. No difference in fuel consumption either. And as far as brand is concerned. YOKOHAMA is the best experience i have had after trying a whole lot of options for many years

Here is a table of comparison for Civic Tyre size.... In terms of variation anything less than 3% is acceptable (that is why variation percentage is written in green or else it would be in red)

205/65-15 or 205/60-16 will give you slightly better road clearance as well, if ure worried that overall centre of gravity will raise by a mere negligible few mm, well the little extra treadwidth will make up for the better grip. As i said earlier i have personally experienced both rim sizes on my car with 205

Can someone tell me whether replacing batteries for 9th gen require any special steps ? or is it just like the normal conventional steps that we do for every other car? i have heard it might reset some data or something else. any body who knows for sure ?
