    Salam,

As we just recently bought a Civic 9th Gen (2013) shape and could not find its fan Club on Pakwheels.

So making one, all who own this car or want to own one are allowed to share their views, problems, pics etc of their car.

let me share my experience with you.
I had manual civic and let me tell you manual civic's RPM at 120 kmph are higher than RPM of a Prosmatic.

My 8th Gen (Reborn) Prosmatic at the speed of 100~110 kmph with cruise ON, two adult sitting, 16"rims gives me an average of around 17.5+ kmph from toll plaza to toll plaza
No cruise control. It's a base model civic.
Prosmatec 9th gen gives around 16 at 110 - 120. Yes rpms are more in manual but results are in front of you. Even Honda people were claiming that manual is way more fuel efficient than prosmatec.

Manual is more fuel economic than auto in local. I think on Highway auto is better

Check thoroughly if the headlights are hit/cracked from anywhere. If not, immediately go to honda and get them replaced.

guys i am hearing a TUK sound from somewhere under the bonnet. this usally comes when i put the car in R from P in the morning or whenever i give sudden acceleration to the car so during that jerk i hear a TUK sound. it looks like something is loose. . . in my 8gen such sound come from the failed engine mount so i am just worried maybe in this car again the engine mount broke which Honda claimed they have completely re-engineered the mount and now it wont break anytime soon.

any idea guys what might could be the reason, went to honda defense they said everything is fineeeeeeeeeee. . .

Exactly the same issue for last one year with me. Honda have already changed my axles twice under warranty and also twice my brake assembly has been changed. The wierd TAK noise still comes. Once a mechanic placed metal packings between my brake pad and caliper, that made it went away. They then changed my calipers and it came back again. I'm waiting pads to wear off and see if getting new pads will sort this out. Its probably loose pads in the caliper assembly

    Fake,
Somebody edited and put left side 2 later on. Actual speed is 21 kmph. Thats why lights are green and also digits are shifted, not in the centre of two light bars but towards left.

Also if the car is parked on an inclined surface without handbrake in P. When shifting in such a case, a loud 'daz' will be heard sometimes even shaking the whole car along with the sound, thats normal too.
    same thing in my car
Yeah that's right, Even my 7th gen and now 9th gen has same behavior.

i went to get my grandfathers 7th gen civic tuned from my local honda dealership and there i saw atleast 3 9th gen civics parked with their engines ruined. The mechanics told me that the "air box" which is located at the level of the headlights of the 7th gen is located at the level of the fog lights in the 9th gen.

The mechanics very strictly asked me NOT to drive in flooded areas

apparently the water enters the "air box" and then goes into the main engine block ruining the con rods and pistons. the mechanics have to replace it all

for details and pics to see what i am referring to to , check out post 543 here: https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/mem...-navigation-28

There is no pre air cleaner in 9th gen as it uses wet type air cleaner element. The air inlet passage on 9th gen is not upto fog light level. it is just behind left headlight and you can visually observe it. I personally drove my car in water upto chassis and there was no problem. If somebody drive in lake what can Honda do then...-

If water goes in suction pipe then yes it will ruin engine. It may also happen washing engine bay with running engine.

Bros, Quick Information Sharing about 9th Gen Civic; (As got from 3S Service Shop)
9th gen uses wet type element in its air cleaner so dont use blower to clean its element filter as existing dust/dirt may stuck in even more. First of all, unlike dry type filter, it is not needed to clean filter 10k Kms (Total life time), but in case you drive in dusty roads then just get filter out and gently bang it against floor to drop wet dirt off.

Be aware some time over efficient service station guys after servicing car just remove filter and clean them with compressed air as a courtesy to owners.
