Guys...need your opinion on leather upgrade. Is it really worth 55.5k?
Any good alternatives in market? Rexzine covers look nice but they cause u to sweat a lot in summers coz there is no ventilation!
Is the same problem observed with leather upgrade package?

Well. Ive kept a pkdm with oem leather. The car was corolla 2009. Id say, using original fabric is the best option and most comfortable.
Ita not just ventilation, but leather seats offered in pkdms are too stiff. Not worth it imo.

Have used an aspire. Rock hard seats as compared to my non aspire city. And it looses its graceful look over time. Looks like phissa wa sa and shiny. And i believe, like pkdm toyota it will start developing cracks too, after 4 or 5 years.

A friend of mine stated that cracks started to appear in the very first month. Thats a big turn off. Ill get after market fabric covers then!

traffic is so high, why does any one want to drive a manual?

manual or automatic, if you drive like sports car, you will not get good mileage, if you drive with light foot you will get good mileage.

Dont get covers. They make the seat pretty much uncomfortable. Use oem fabric. Thora bohat ganda hojaye to can be easily cleaned. I use original fabric in all my cars. No issues till date.

can anyone guide on this...i know its a dumb question but gotta ask anyways ...i understand after sale inspections can be done from any 3S dealership but does it make any difference if we don't use the same dealership from where the car was purchased?

No difference at all but if you are going for a warranty claim I think its better to go to the showroom you purchased from.

thanks. i am not going for a warranty claim, only scheduled inspection after a month of purchase. But this begs the next question. What if i go for a warranty claim in future they make an excuse of not coming to them for regular inspections.

They shouldn't and most probably wont. I don't have much experience with Honda but on PW I have heard bad reviews about one certain dealership in Karachi, you might want to avoid them. You should go through this thread I am sure there will be some info here.

Its a sheer waste of money, i have actually had to get original Honda provided leather on my bro-in laws 8th Gen changed after 2 years to leatherite. Also my Uncles 4 months old 9th gen Civic looks all faded/cracked hard and compressed. It even has developed round spots of lighter shade like a circle print at some places. He regrets wasting the money when he sees my 9th gen with leatherite and says i will also get this artificial type leather. The type of leather Honda provides is probably a rejected cheap lot. Its a disgrace to the word LEATHER.
My experience with leatherite has been wonderful for past many many years. The sweating issue is not as bad if you open the doors for hardly a minute and switch the A/C ON. My seats with leatherite are quite soft actually. Depends on the guy who does poshish and the type of leatherite quality you use.
And if you are not mentally comfortable getting leatherite then stick to fabric. Spending on Oem leather from Honda will make you regret.
