    Salam,

    As we just recently bought a Civic 9th Gen (2013) shape and could not find its fan Club on Pakwheels.

    So making one, all who own this car or want to own one are allowed to share their views, problems, pics etc of their car.

    Boy chill, in desi terms they say "abhi engine nahi khula"
    A few thousand kilometers and it will be fine. I too faced nothing but disappointment in beginning. The response felt horrible. But later after 5k-10k and some high rpm high speed experience it went a load better.
    You are welcome to compare with my car to see if there is a difference or not.

    is you car auto or manual?
    today i took my car to honda fort they inspected the car and said all is good

    actually i am very much into these little things so i worried a little

    My car is an automatic. Like i said i too was disappointed in the beginning, but it got much better with time and mileage

    A few days back i was in honda point lhr getting my car washed where i heard avout the new android navigation system thats going to be offered in the first week or may.. Upon asking for details, I was being told that unlike the one offered in Toyota, this won't be a full android unit plus all the issues have been dealt with.. The reverse camera issue will be gone now.. One issue as per the person remains.. On turning on the car u won't be directed to the song which u were playing prior to switching the car off, instead ud b brought to the folders first song.. As far as the price is concerned.. 70k from factory .. 85k from any Honda 3S dealer.. Also an exchange option is avialble, where u give 45k along with ur previous unit n get the new one.. Lol.. The person I talked to was Transworld sales/marketing guy.. Regardless they still r ripping ppl off..

    So anyone booking their civic now.. Do ask about the new android nav system they will b offering.. Also people who will b receiving their cars with the nav system in the next few weeks should ask honda whether they will get the newer system or not.

    ECON makes the car very noticeably slugglish. also when on cruise control, the difference is very noticeable. ECON mode allows for greater tolerance differencial from the speed set for cruise control. say i set cruise control at 100, in econ it might go down to 95 without bringing it back to 100, wherease without econ it tries hard to stick close to 100. similarly on slopes in econ it goes above 100.. as such it seems to be more flexible in econ which is good and more economical. also in city driving there is a noticeable difference between econ and normal. noticed this difference within first 6,000 km.

    i have done the ron calculations and it comes to 2/5 hi-oct minimum and 3/5 regular in your civics. it can be 2/5 or more hi-oct. if you ignore hi-oct completely some honda expert told me that the Catalytic converter will need replacement much sooner.

    you see the engine requires RON level 91 (around). hi-oct is 97 and regular is 87 from caltex and pso. to reach 91 min of 2/5 hi-oct required.

    Pakistan me RON supreme ka 80 bhi nahi ho ga aur Hi Octane bhi 85 tak ho ga , ise liye car din rat knocking krte rehte hain (Specially small engines)

    well if the manual saying "or higher" is correct then there should be no problem. however my knowledgebase is not sufficient to respond to this querry. though i have searched the net and there are some who say that is not good either. i sometimes fully fuel mine with hi-oct and sometimes with super, trying to keep the balance. the goal (my goal) is not to not deviate from RON91 a lot. so i keep it between 90-94 (estimated). i have cross checked these ron numbers by writing to the companies and assuming they are not lying the ron levels of regular is 87 and hi-oct 97. if anyone tells you otherwise ask them if this is their guesswork or do they have evidence for their claims.... the guy at the honda dealers (their head mechanic) did say if i go with all hi-oct that is even better. however due to the articles online saying otherwise i prefer not to only go with hi-oct all the time.... research the issue and let me know also if you find an answer to ron97 being ok for a ron91 "or higher" engine.....

    "ka bhee nahin ho ga" is guesswork. either you verify this information by writing to caltex or pso or whichever company's pump you use, and be sure, or you will remain guessing..... better to be sure than guessing....
