@ALI, what you have explained were indeed my thoughts with regards to wheel width not being the ideal size for 215mm tires plus the inevitable increase in ride height would mess things further. I have checked a few aftermarket wheels in 16'' and i most probably be getting 16s for my car with 215/55r16 or 215/60r16 tires.

Thank you for the prompt and detailed reply to my query.

215/60-16 again gets too high to reduce centre of gravity and burden suspension. For 16 the manageable size keeping close to stock dia is 205/60-16 or 215/55-16

I have come across one set of wheel so far that really caught my attention, that is 16'' Vossen wheels, 5 spoke design with 7.5'' width and the offset is not much as well. I was quoted 42,000 PKR.

42k for vossen? Isn't that extremely cheap.. Second hand I suppose? And what was the offset? If I'm not wrong +45 is the offset for oem rims.. Think u shud select ones with similar offset.

Also if you get 215/65-15 that will raise your car too much burden your suspension and look ugly with that profile, if you get 215/60-15 that will suit overall diameter being close to stock but rim needs to be wider for ideal physics (narrower rim will make it too flexible)
205/65-15 is suitable and just right if you want to change or go for 205/60-16 (increase rim)
If however you want no less than 215 your ideal option would be 7" wide rim OR increase rim dia size to 17" for 215/50-17

If you're talking about the Vossens in local showrooms, they are mostly replicas. I found this out when the guy showed me colors which Vossen never made.
He even had Purple Work rims

These are very light weight replica of Accord Rims. (less than one Kg difference in each rim between stock 15'' and these) One guy ordered for me from Karachi. His shop named United Tires is in Blue area. Cost me around 45K. I am using for one year now and drove 22K Kms and have no problem. Initially I was in fear of stiff drive and other problems with 17'' Rims as stated by many Pakwheelers but believe me it does not affect that much (Post # 958 Page 48 of same thread). Civic outside Pakistan comes with different variant of 15'', 16'' and 17'' as well.

I guess you are right, even i was shocked when i hear the salesman quote me 42k for the Vossens'. To feel the weight i held the wheel in my hand and it did feel pretty light weight plus the finish and built quality looked pretty good.

Thanks for the awareness, this is going to help me a lot when i do go out to shop for wheels.
