    Assalam Alakum,
    hi every one, i have started doing this swap in a civic 86 hatch, and its nealy completed,
    the engine is installed
    Execel work done,
    wiring is remaining,
    there is lot of owrk remaining but think, ill do it slowly,

    Hash...tell me ur joking...H22 in an 86 civic? Thats pimping big time...no wonder it touched the firewall...damn...an H22 in that civic...its probably 1/4th of the wieght of the car...haha

    Well that H22 is being fitted into a more compact body i.e a GTti chassis . Sweet conversion though.

    @hash4u
    Im sure that turboB16 had some probs otherwise there is no match. Iraced a CTR around 230bhp/210 torque and i was a car lentgh behind. Just want to say that a B16turbo would be pretty fast . was running 5/6psi boost at that time
    struggling to get a license

    That is the same CTR whiech we have raced yesterday with the GTti,

    @zubari, my engine was OBD0 i converted it to OBD1, JUst to run a chiped ECu,
    Ill convert the breaks to 4 wheel disc system,
    the place where u are wrong is, b16 is not direct bolt on in any of the civcs here, there is some minor alteration in one foundation, which is the back one,
    i have seen it and experience it my self, reffering to the civic 96 vti. minor alteration is back foundation esle its bolt on,

    ok..i still consider that mod ur talking about as minor though....such mods are a part of any swap....

    i was part of a team of club guys who did atleast three swaps of b motors into civics and one 1.6el acura...and very recently...my team did a swap of a K20 into a 95 EG coupe...this project was nuts.....

    this motor is crazy...its the latest generation honda engine..here are some pics....again..the swap was bolt on expect mounts, axles and some minor wiring issues...took us four weekends plus lots and lots of patience. by the time we were done...we had memorized the honda chilton shop manual on K engines by heart..

    although i dont spend time doing it now but since this was a K swap...so i couldnt say no...lol

    yeah its my point,
    there are some minor alteration,
    wiring, is not a issue, or i dont count it in alteration,

    that is one gr8 swap, a frined of mine have installed the same engine in same as mine Civic which is 85 civic with type-r motor,

    He is running 12.6 untuned 1/4 mile. which is amazingly fast, he is aiming to 10 sec flat, which he will do it,

    The picture are of a Civic 86, same as mine but in mint conditon, the engine is K20R,
    which comes in latest CTR and ITR, 220Hp with 206 torque, the highest torque producing engine made by honda in Type-r SEries,

    Think of this engine installed in a 780 kg car, at per ton the car is above 300hp,
    This car is currently haveing excels problem, and with slip clutch it ran 12.6 sec quater mile, which is 1 second faster then any Supera, Skyline GTR, NSX, EVO AlL series, RX7 and all other sports cars,

    Just guess the car with slip clutch is running 12.6 sec.
    he havent updated me from 2 weeks as he is very busy,

    good luck but a 10 sec. flat run sounds too ambitious...it is entirely possible but the car will have to go through extnesive mods to achieve that level.

    from what i know..the fastest drag honda tested worledwide is owned by Jason Hunt. Its a 88 Civic/CRX on forced induction with drag radials plus racing fuel that did the 1/4 mile in 9.53 seconds at 154mph. Weight of the car with the driver was 2200 lbs. I dont know of an update as this info. is like one year old now.

    yeah, that was jason hunt, i have seen him..

    Yeah Aiming for the 10 sec flat, is very very hard job,
    there are lots of mod that he will be performaing after he get it at stable condition,
    sliped clutch=12.6, I think he will be at 12 or late 11's when he will fix this problem,
    INSHAHALLAH.
