Default What he did with my Honda Civic 2003 Oriel AC?

I have HONDA CIVIC ORIEL 2003 ,Yesterday, owing to low cooling i got my AC serviced by a Mechanic at Tariq Road, Karachi (tripping issue, no cooling in noon but cooling at evening and night). This was the first time when i got my AC serviced since 2008 when i bought this car. He unscrewed Blower, Condesor, pipes etc. alomost everything. Cleaned all of them and then re-installed them, recharged the gas and checked me its cooling. That was fine , throw was ok. I came home without noticing anything. Today morning when i switched on the ignition only and did not start the car while the AC button was pressed and the blower button was also "ON", the radiator fan and ac fan begin to move. I unpressed the AC button both the fans (Radiator and AC) were switched off.. In normal condition unless the engine is not started the AC, and Radiator fans do not run with the pressed AC button. I took it to him and explained the problem but he denied that this is not the problem then i checked with my other friends who have HONDA and Corolla they said that this is the problem. Now mechanic says to get it checked from HONDA... guys what i do.... I am repenting that i should have gone to HONDA at the first place to get my AC serviced..

I guess he made radiator fan direct with the AC ( when the AC is turned on, radiator fan would be constantly ON )
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

    agree.
@OP: if you are worried then get it checked from a good electrician.

He probably bypassed ur Engine Heating Thermostat which turns radiator fan automatically on when engine temperature starts to increase. Its a stock setting. But in Pakistan due to higher temperatures in summers many people do so to have good cooling or avoid accidental overheating due to possible thermostat malfunction. It is not a problem in summers. But in winters when u turn on heater u ill have to wait for longer period till ur engine temperature rises because heater draws its heat from engine unlike air conditioner.
But if u r worried and u want ur stock settings back.Go to any electrician and tell him to restore thermostat thing

    I hope it helps

with AC switched ON both fans(if installed)should come ON. it is suppose to be like this and even if there is only one common fan(radiator fan) that should also come ON irrelevant of the car temperature but obviously it shouldnt come ON pre ignition. sounds like a system by pass but dont worry that much get it checked from some good electrician .

Well i think he might have hooked up radiator with ac fan/button instead of ignition.

Its normal bro, same happens in ivtec city 2012 and new civic 9th gen.

lol don't worry, I guess u never observed it clearly. Corolla's fans work differently, they do not switch on unless the engine is hot but in honda, condenser fan always turns on when ac is on, regardless of the engine temperature.

both fans kick on when the A/C compressor is switched on - that is how its wired. But the system should not work until the ECU starts to recieve crank sensor signal. Thats my experience with all Honda wirings Ive done as the ECU takes input for the A/C compressor button and provides relay control for the compressor clutch.

the fan relays are wired after the clutch relay with a diode in between.
