    Default tyres for 1996 civic.

i currently have 15 inch rims on the car... with 195 width nitto tyres.

I want to buy brand new tyres. for 13 inch rim, width at least 195.

    brands only michelin or continental..

what would be the correct aspec ratio.. and the price per tyre...

i also want to sell of the current rim and tyre.

the problem is not our govt... its the people..

stock vti came with 14" rims and 185 tyre width.i would recommend stick to that
    13 would look ugly.

replacing suspension bushes of these models is painful. wise move, downsizing rims/tyres
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

I have been using 15s all my life, and its not that i havent used 13 at all.

but trust me ur problem is not size of the rim, its the softness of ur tyre.

Get ur self soft tyres and ur problem will be solved. i dont belive in ur decision.

tyres are nitto... and trust me they are quite soft.

dunlops are like rock. generals do not deserve to be called tyres.

15 inch new tyres are also very expensive :p

thats not a tire problem - its a design problem, those bushings flex a lot, they require replacement every 4 years, infact the entire rear suspension needs a complete and full overhaul every 8 years. Tighten with wheels at normal height only. Dont use any diesel or oil or grease on the bushings.

The factory size on that car are 14 inch for the VTi and 13 inch for EXi. dont remember the width and height tho. I think 165/70 for the 13 inch ones and 185/65 for the 14 inch ones.

the thai rubber bushings are terrible, they are bubble gum soft and tear up in 1/4 time, The time it takes to replace that stupid bushing, I would install a genuine part and forget about it.

165sr13 would mean a max aspect ratio... which would be 80 or 85...

a replacement would be 195/75 r13... keeping difference in total dia to a minimum..

reason for not going for 14inch is that i dont have 14inch rim... i want to spend as little as possible.

if some one want to exchange the current rims with 14inchs than most welcome

brother problem is that 195 in 13'' is not available in any good brand and in this case go for 185 70 r 13 which is readly available.and if u go for 195 75 r 13 their will be increase of 4.8% in daimeter which is not recommonded.
