Default Honda Civic VTI Oriel Prosmetic 2005 fuel tank capacity

    Hi guys

Can any one tell me what's capacity of above car? I got my tank full but can't measure what's exact capacity because there was already petrol in it. Now at around 285km yellow light appears. I drove car in city to pick and drop kids from school and at noon always used AC. I want to get per liter average of my car.

    1. What's fuel tank capacity? New Honda Civic model has 51 liter tank.
    2. At what level reserve light appears?

With reserve light you have 10 liters left. if you have done 285 km in 40 liters than your mileage is somewhere around 7 which is possible specially if you have a heavy foot or your car is not tuned properly.

sir, civic normally gives 7~8 km/L in the city and 10~13 on long routes. Depends at how much rpms its driven.

The fuel tank is made to handle approx 45 ltr of fuel
I myslef own a 7th gen prosmetic , within city i get min 10kmpl easily with a light foot and proper timed shifting and motorway it falls in the range of 13.7-14.2 kmpl calculated many times under 120kmph as anything above 120kmph the rpms raises above 3000 and your consumption would drop to 12 or even less
I got more than approx 425 km mixed driving (reserve to reserve) from petrol worth 3000/- , your car might need tune-up
Keeping in mind the car i own is only petrol used since day one hardly driven 100,000 km till now
Cant really comment on CNG driven or more than one hand driven cars

to calculate fuel average , you can top up your fuel tank , drive your car for lets say 50kms , again top up your fuel tank and notice the number of ltrs added , divide the number of ltrs added to the km driven (50 in your case)- you'll get your average
