Default Honda civic 95 (EG) starting problem

AOA guys I have got stock 95 with the carby engine. When I start it for the first time it starts quickly but after doing a short trip it struggles in starting ,feels like battery is loosing all of its potential and then after some long sips it starts but sometimes it doesnt start and I am left with option of getting help from the people crossing the roads . it was on CNG before I have removed the CNG but still problem is still there. Have replaced batery and starter. Some electricians say that some relay should be attached with the starter. what do you guys say? What can the problem and from where should I get it fixed?

There are a number of issues that can cause this.

1 - bad starter (mostly bushings or carbon brushes) - oil the bushings liberally before using. The original bushings are zeolite which wick oil into themselves, brass replacements cannot do that and suffer.
2 - bad grounding to the starter - weak or corroded wires - mostly seen at hot temperature.
3 - intermittent starter trigger - this does not cause slow starter rpm - it causes it to stop

Bhai next time keep a bottle of water with you and when you face this same situation (after getting a drive/when hot) then pour some water on self. If it starts then your self needs to be serviced. If sometimes it starts fluently and sometimes doesn't then there is a need to place a relay with the self. Thats It. Its not a big issue. Installing a relay will not take more then half hour. Self service will take around 1 and half hour which will cost around PKR 1000.

    Enjoy your Ride/Live Happy.

If you are in Islamabad go to Garage Masters in Fire Brigade market or call them at 051 2202364. The owner is Mr. Tafveez-ul-Hassan and I've found him to be very knowledgeable and honest whenever I need work on my Civic 95.

Looks Like Bad Starter Or Bad Solenoid/(Relay)

If Your Starter Don't Have Relay......Chances Are Your IGN Wire leading To Solenoid Is Not working Properly....Not Capable Of Pulling Solenoid For LONG.....! Best Way...Connect Relay.....It May Solve Ur Issue If Its Related To That

Changing Battery And Starter Won't Help In This Case.....! It Can Be Improper Ground To Starter Or Engine To Car Chassis And Battery Also....

Looks like grounding issue since its happening only when the engine is hot.

I kept 95 civic for a while and faced the same problem, started easily when the engine is cool and unpredictable when its hot. Problem is due to bad timing. Re-do the timing from a good mechanic including tiepat (local term for mechanics) adjustments and it will be fine. The overheating may also have wiered out parts of your sulf so do its service from an electrition as well
