    Default honda civic 1986 clutch problem

    salam my name is ali i got honda civic 1986 model i change my gear box now i have 5 gear transmision but my cluth is so hard and it vibrats when i release the clutch plz help i live in karachi so plz guide me what to do..

    I think the clutch is misaligned and is therefore not releasing 100%. have it checked immediately or you'll have premature malfunction due to uneven wear.

    before you swapped the five speed tranny....was your tranny 4 speed before?
    I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it..and so restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions.

    make sure flywheel is polished properly, otherwise clutch contact with flywheel halfway will vibrate the car.

    levin...what do you think? a five speed tranny into an engine with a stock four speed? how will the engine transfer the torque to the extra ratio? i think it will have to work very hard from the first gear cuz the all gear ratios will be larger for which the engine is designed.
