Honda saved wherever they could. I have added loads of techy stuff but have use local materials wherever possible. Whereas the '10 swift had alot of imported parts.

Next time I reverse into a parking spot I will take a picture. Maybe it's because the rear view camera is too round and gives a false impression of spaces right behind you. It's good for watching out for poles, etc though.

    Default 5000 kms maintainence

got my fathers' cars free check up from honda city sales... actually it wasnt free, they charged for the oil and battery water...
    stuff the mechanic did:
    1. change oil
    2. put battery water (1.5 bottles used, this is a 2 month old car)
    3. adjusted suspension bolts
    4. checked air filter, fluids, etc.

i was noticing that the engine protector sheet of this new model is more secure and less likely to fall and scrape along the road like the previous gen civics.

what's the purpose of the encircled plastic vents? aerodynamic stability?

keeping this car within speed limits has become a problem, i've seen that looking at the digital speedometer while driving is harder than looking at an analogue meter. because, in analogues u have a general idea of the speedometers needle position whereas in a digital speedometer you can't judge your speed unless you look at it directly.

the result of all this is a 750/- rs fine i had to pay on the motorway en route to islamabad (unfortnatley just ten min away from leaving the main motorway- so close)
And when the car was not on cruise whenever i saw my speed (even when my father was driving), it was way beyond the speed limit.

i can't imagine what people go through who own ferraris and lambo's abroad where the fines are this amount in Euros. If we can't control our speed in a 1800cc budget family car , then with handling ur speed in a car with 3-4 times the power must be very hard.

Whenever I saw the speedometer when not using cruise control, it was 145-150. Not even my mother who's very vigilant about speed felt that I was over speeding.
The policeman caught me doing 138km/hr.
No, they do a good job, and I deserved it. And on the way back I didn't drive more than 125 km/hr so the fine did help .
They're one kind of people in Pakistan who are very honest in their job. Despite the whole country being corrupt, they still do their best. All of them are vigilant and immediately warn if there's an accident ahead. I was amazed at how good they are.
Btw, I didn't even argue with the officer. Just asked him how much I had to pay :p
