this car is extremely economical - i'm comparing this to '02/'05 Vti Civic and '10 swift.
Thats such a Peace of mind, i mean my Aspire Prosmtec is giving equal or sometimes even less than this

lol. take it on a trip to the motorway. that's the only way it will behave itself and give good mileage
we took ours on the 1st week of getting it, as soon as we got its registration done and did alot of trips from lahore-bhurban after that

    25,000 kms service update.

Got the oil changed - the mechanic said that the oil filter lasts 10,000 kms.

The battery surprisingly drank two bottles of battery water. It always does whenever we take it for its routine service and tuning. I blame the very bright interior lights and the IMID (which stays on for a minute or two after you take the key out of the ignition).

You can't replace the battery water yourself because for that you need to disconnect the connections and a friend did that on his own - his new car went haywire after it (the rev meter and speedometer stopped working, and all electronic systems ceased to work - the car was sorted out by the dealership and he was advised to get the water replaced only by official Honda mechanics)

    Total cost : 3800

The brake pads will be replaced on the 30,000 kms tuning..

After the specs update of the upcoming corolla, I'm so glad we bought this car and didn't wait for that.

I haven't used any oil other than the official Honda oil.
It seems fine to me, it accelerates well and there's no problem so far.

Fuel economy is quite reasonable at 11-12 km/l in the city and upto 12.7 km/l on the highway ( with good acceleration and an average speed of 125-130 km/hr)

Yes, there's a very simple rule regarding PKDMs - get the car serviced and tuned from official dealers and always use their official products, this enhances engine performance and life (Since these are tried and tested products on the brand and if anything goes wrong, which is highly unlikely, you can always blame the dealership-since they have the record of your cars service history and products you purchased from them in their system)

You may find the dealership slightly expensive in terms of labor and parts, but in the long run your car will run more smoothly and also increase its life.

I have a 9th generation civic and fuel average on highway went upto 17km/ltrs in cruise/ econ mode, but strangely its only 8.5km/ltr in city, any reason?

other observation is that recently i filled my complete tank with hi octane and it improved to 9.6km/ltr in city (still no chance to take it to highway/ motorway)

do note the mileage is only 3500 km and i feel it will improve in city after some time, am i right?

^i was getting same mileage when i was using caltex fuel, but as soon as i switched to SHELL unleaded now it ranged between 9 - 9.5. . as a test case next time try filling up the tank with good reputed shell pump.

Yes it will improve in the city. I was getting 7.3 km/l initially.

However ensure that there's no throttle foot- heavy driver other than you driving the car. One '1800cc competitor car smoking' race can ruin the mileage
As far as petrol quality is concerned, I always use pso petrol pump in cavalry ground or shell petrol pump, H block defence.
Never had petrol related problems. But I do have rev happy drivers in my family so the mileage does go down at times

There's an improvement in the 9th gen as far as city driving is concerned. I get 10-11 km/l without hyper miling and occasional heavy acceleration .
The Eco mode does help, I guess.

A tuk sound from where exactly ? The annoying reverse gear alarm of my car deafens all other noises so I can't hear anything. If the noise coming from your car is louder than that, then I suggest you get it checked unless it's coming from the brakes which is quite normal in civics

its coming from the engine bay, i dont think its from the brakes, it comes whenever i engage the R gear. as soon as i put the car in R i immediately hear TUK.

i got same sort of problem in my 8gen and it was because of the broken engine mount. so i am bit worried.

The engine mount issue would have a louder tuk along with a jerk as well.
I suggest you get it checked. I'm sorry, I'm acting like a useless fellow civic owner and not helping you but if I were you, I would take it to the dealership and alleviate my apprehensions
