Mashallah Congrats on the Purchase. Love the way you gave the review about the car. Maza aa gaya parh ker

And as for the paint quality i totally agree that it is quite bad. My 2004 city had a much better paint quality than my 2013 city, similarly the 2012 city has a better paint quality than the 2013 model. A lot of orange peel is present in the newer models.

Do remember to fasten the seat belt. Drive Safe

Is there anyway we can improve the wavy irregular patterns? By detailing possibly?
Or will they stay prominent as such no matter what wax u use?
Oh yes, the Honda alarm won't shut up if I don't :p

it is called orange peel because it resembles the skin of an orange, only fix is to wetsand and compound which you probably wouldn't want to do with a new car

Yeah that would be great if they could somehow hide the low quality paint... Will wait for other members to try it and then ask them

So have the Honda people conveniently forgot to wetsand and compound every car that leaves the assembly line? :s
Or is this paint issue something more serious? ... Such as use of low quality paint, etc?

oo bhi galati se bhi is orange peel ko khatam karnay ki koshish na karna this is known as jala in desi language which is a way to judge that car is in original paint it comes in all cars some cars have more prominent than others this is one way to judge weather car is in original colour or not i know most of ppl dont like it its basically due to shower or gun company use to paint the car. i think this time they have updated their spray system but once its gone it will never come back and possibility that u will have to take heavy lose while selling ur car.

Hmmm.. That's weird.. No we don't want to remove it, we just want to mask it somehow. It makes the finish of the car of very low quality especially when compared with its predecessors.
And I haven't seen this 'jala' anywhere except when painters coat metal fences for the first time and then repaint them to hide it. Never seen such a thing in cars

well it has not much to do with paint quality, paint quality of toyota and honda is pretty good. it is about how you spray it, i once had the chance of talking to a painter of honda, he works at the factory, i asked him regarding this, and he said "this is the genian look", people will say its a repaint if a paint finish doesn't have it.

wetsanding is a time consuming and risky process, and even riskier when you deal with such thin paints.it isn't feasible for companies for toyota and honda, but luxury brands like bentley do it.

i usggest just treating the car with meguiars ultimate polish, it will slightly abrade the paint (very very teensy bit) but the orange peel will look atleast shinier than before. honda paint seems to have low gloss and this treatment will improve the overall looks. our silver city also has this issue

I agree with the jaala part; it actually is a sign of genuine paint when re selling in the market and I remember seeing it in almost all cars I have bought till date - brand new ones only

    Thanks bro
No doubt, you're absolutely right that it's the best locally made car.. This has finally met the standards of internationally available cars. And we have nothing to complain about now as far as standard features and specifications are concerned.
