Default 7th Gen Civic ES Squad Karachi

PWent over Pakwheels and didn't find a proper group for the 7th gen Civics, all of them are mostly mere fanclubs.

So here is a thread dedicated to the 7th gen Civics of Karachi, please post a picture of your car along with a little introduction to register yourself here, we'll be making a list that will be updated from time to time.

The 7th gen Civic sedans we have here are regarded as the ES Civic worldwide and we have the ES5 over here.

The purpose of this thread is to bring the ES Civic owners of Karachi closer together and once we have enough members, we'll be organizing GTG's and small meets.

Feel free to post queries, pictures, ask for suggestions, buy/sell parts and share your ideas.

Owners from other cities are welcome to follow us as well

Thank you Sheheryaar, I currently own a Mira 2006 model and aspire to buy Civic 7th gen

According to responses on same question, I learnt that VTi is the best option to go, however, one thing that fears me most is its fuel average (people say 6-7 km/l). For a person like me who drives daily ~45 km + traffic nuisance of Karachi, it would translate to >13K / month only fuel expense.

Exi, as people say can give ~ 12 km/l which is way close to my current 660 cc. I'm unable to understand why a more advance version (VTi) gives average so low compared to its Sister car EXI :O

    You've heard wrong.

Firstly, it depends on driving habits.
Secondly, transmission also plays a major roll.

I have both Manual and Automatic Civics, both happen to be VTi versions, both 2005 manufactured.
From my personal experience over the years, I can tell you that on normal driving in Karachi with the usual stop and go traffic, my manual car gives me 10km/l and the Auto gives 8km/l.
If I drive with a heavy pedal, the manual gives around 8km/l and the Auto goes down to 6km/l due to the 4 speed transmission which I'm not a fan of.
Both my cars are VERY well maintained and have been giving me this mileage since the day they came out of the showrooms.

On highway it's a different story, I've managed to pull 14-15km/l easily out of my manual car and 12km/l from my auto.
I'd prefer if you get a manual VTi in good mechanical condition.
EXi won't give you any better mileage, especially the auto EXi.

^ I second Rohan, we have all heard the claims of 12-14 kmpl but really, the max i have been able to achieve on my 2004 exit prosmatec is 9.5kmpl in city driving. I always get a full tank and calculate the correct way... There are times when i struggle to achieve 8...It all depends upon the kind of traffic i encounter...

Most of the ES owners have the same statement but i myself used D17A VTEC and it used to give 11-12 km/l and yes it was an auto. I used to drive her on a lightfoot, not hitting the VTEC agin n again like the other honda owners do, thinking that they are driving a hyper sport. Now im using D16W7 which is a VTEC-E and i fetch 14-15km/l per liter.

I know D17 has an O2 sensor as it is an imported motor. The local ones manage fuel mixture through a potentiometer under the dash... so no real time adjustment of mixture

Guys, Just came across this thread, and pretty surprised that there's sooo less 7th Gen Civic Owners

I just got my hands on my 7th Gen Last week, cleaning her up and will share pictures shortly.
I was expecting more members to be in this Squad to help me get my 7th Gen in shape again. !
