Thread: honda civic vti prosmatic 2006 - accelerator pedal hard

    Default honda civic vti prosmatic 2006 - accelerator pedal hard

    Guys I need some help. just bought a civic eagle eyes in exceptionally good condition. however the accelerator pedal feels hard. i got the cable changed to a new guneuine one but the pedal still feels harder than normal.

    Any suggestions will be welcomed.

    check the throttle plate at the throttle body. if its not hard, then check the foot pedal for hardness. may be something is stuck in the pedal.

    Its suppose to be that way. its not a drive by wire system.. i bought mine 3 weeks ago too felt the same thing. but then checked with a few friends theirs was just like that.

    I have notice that most of the auto transy car have lil hard acceleratoras thier cable is attached with throttle body and gear as well

    wow - you guys are quite a bunch, please go ahead and press the accelerator of a W124 mercedes then tell me how hard your civic pedal is, it requires quite an effort to push unlike the kids toy pedals in modern cars nowadays.

    It must be the cng kit issue because this problem came into my car too after when i installed cng . If your cng kit is installed below the air filter ask your mechanic to install it below the fuse box

    cleanup ur throttle body and give oil in pedal joints here yoo go

    my car never had cng installed and was and will be driven on petrol only...have cleaned the throttle body recently which did help a bit but i think it should still be lighter...will soon lubricate pedal assembly too to c if that helps..
