Default Shocking Dilemma - Honda Civic 2005 & City 2002

After getting rid with all the silly problems with my City i finally passed it on to my wife and got myself a nice 05 Civic. My wife a few weeks ago complained to me about some wierd noises from the front end. I took the city out for a spin and could not hear any noises so i took it to work the next day. It remained quite for most of the time but i heard a "Ghooon Ghoon" noise after driving about 15km. After a while a clicking noise also emerged (which is particularly annoying as it would only stop if the road is absolutely 10/10). On my way back, same thing happened , it remained quite for 10-15 km and then the same noise re emerged. Weird thing, after rains similar noise with exact symptoms have emerged in my Civic .

I need know if these noises are bad shocks/struts or springs? If shocks, what should i do about them? Replace ? Repair? If repair, Should i go to Saeed Manzil ( @Xulfiqar ) ? . If this is shocks related than why does it emerge after driving for atleast 10-15 km and not right away?

I have little experience with shocks related problems.

find a 2 ft crowbar - lift the car on jackstands and muscle the lower arm and spindle apart at the ball joint - try that in all steering positions, it maybe possible the ball joint has hammered itself into a nice seat.

for a wheel bearing sound - find a freind who is a doctor/nurse - borrow his/her stethescope and give him back the press piece, put a rod in place of it - get under the car and put the stethescope on each spindle where the bearing is and listen for rough noise as the wheel spins.

I refrained from answering because the poster says the sound is present while the vehicle is stationary. Also, the ball joint won't make a "clicking" sound, rather a heavier tukk tuk.

noises when turning the steering have to be rack related... maybe possible the rack bushes are shot..or the rack is rubbing against its housing.

since you said tie rods are new hence they should not be the problem... what about the rackends?
the problem is not our govt... its the people..

Yeah Well, the rack was replaced (due to a leak) along with inner rods. The noise disappeared until i had the alignment done. It pops only under load and on tarmac. If the car is parked on tiles it doesnt pop no matter how much much i try.

This type of noise mostly comes due to misalignment of front wheels as a result of worn out front suspension bushes, ball joints or even due to bad tie rod ends. Better get it checked by lifting the whole car on a jack and do a thorough inspection. I hope you will find the fault in this way. All the best.

I have seen ball joints make really sounds and some even tried to sing to me. - I smacked em hard, pulled them out and threw them in the scrap pile where they belonged - returned me some money on weight too.

find a place where you can get the car onto some rough surface ramps - really oldschool service stations were built with them - some still are used in lines area. They are about 3 ft high.

I think ball joints are the only thing left. Things already replaced/repaired include

    All bushes from Afzal
    All shocks from Afzal
    Strut mounts
    Tie rods
    Rack Ends
    The rack itself/
Car otherwise drive perfectly fine and pop i hear is usually after pulling out of drive way. It is stable at all speeds, does not wander or anything. I guess ball joints are the only things left to replace....aalthough sometimes i just feel its coming from the springs...

I repaired a ford crown vic that popped as loud as a hammer on an anvil - its upper and lower ball joints were like dead fish.
