    Default Mileage Check Civic 97

    AoA guys,

Have a civic 97 automatic, run on CNG all the time. Its a D16A (stock engine), was swapped recently. So had to go petrol as you guys very well know why

On extreme pushing I got 8.66 km/l and then on a light foot, with light foot RPM between 2k-3k and speed between 60-80 km/h I got 13.88 km/l. This was in city driving btw and remember its an automatic. So is this good enough or can I improve it further? Engine is relatively new as well. So the query is never been service/tuned from petrol's point of view. So if there is something that can be done to improve the mileage do let me know. Cos my daily travelling is about 80km and agar savor ka chakar lagg jaye tau ~110 km ho jati hai :p

    Looking forward to your replies.

    Regards

Its already good mileage your car is giving, my d16 7th gen vti gives about 9-10km. D16's usually dont give great mileages D15 can give some exceptional results have seen a D15 giving 17km on long.

Don't know about the vti but my 96 Exi (D15Z) manual does just over 12 in the city without AC and on the highway the max i got was 18km/l. But it also depends on driving style and traffic conditions.
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

    Thnx @gujar96 and @Asad1

Tank filled, traveled about 60 km then refilled. And calculated that way so yeah I'd say done in a right way. Anyways should I get some servicing/tuning done cos like I said its only driven on CNG never bothered with petrol.

Better for going the tuning according to the petrol. May be you will feel the difference but the mileage is highly accepted

Thats pretty good fuel economy. I suggest you don't mess with it any more.

Plus drive a few full tanks and then calculate economy over time. One 60km run isn't enough POR for calculations.

I am afraid so @bango, will be doing that now though 2 months of petrol lets see fingers crossed! Though meray khayal say agar there is room for tuning it'll only help no need to tinker with stuff that needs not any tinkering but tuning (fuel pump cleaning) at the very least should be on my list to do I suppose.
