    Default dipper switch of civic?

high beam isnt working from quite some time, dipper also doesnt works unless headlights are off in which case only low beam lights turn on
2 different electricians both said dipper switch needs to be changed.

the person at nazir autos said original would be expensive so he said we can get you a kabli one n even price of that one is 4.5k

what is the price of genuine one then?

n is it available for cheaper n where...in islamabad?

    its vti 05

i was fine with low beams but people use high beams on each road,be it double single or even streets, its pay back time

    for my 02 Exi,
I got it fixed for Rs 250.

The electrician said he'd give it a try and it worked.
Just opened the switch, removing the whole knob/lever.

I never had to worry for any electrical problem till my electrician left for Dubai.
    Miss him much...

Its a common problem with Honda Civic (CF), had the same issue in my car, first got it fixed cheaply from Rwp Saddar, but eventually had to get it replaced through HONDA 3S motors for Rs 6500 (that was back in 2010)

Sir, he was playing with the switch (more like a computer chip).
Cannot pin-point wat exactly he did.

Wese usually I am always watching carefully whenever any maintenance job is being done but as I said earlier,
to learn and to see if it's being done properly.
BUT as for this guy, I never bothered whateva he was doing.

    wish I could help you

ummm I will be going Lahore in a couple of days.
And my generator bearing is giving some sound, Its the smaller bearing that is mounted on the coil shaft and as per mechanic the new one will be chinese as genuine doesn't come as spare.

I will be getting it from Bilal Gunj and If you're sure that your high beam switch is faulty and you want me to check it out from Bilal Gunj tou I hope I can manage it for you.

i was so fed up of high beams of others at night time that i took the money for changing dipper switch n went to my electrician today, asked him to check the fuses,he told me the same thing of dipper switch,i asked him if it needs to be changed,he said will see if it can be repaired or not,so opened all full steering.....

there was nothing wrong with dipper switch,it was just one point in its grip that was melted which he himself showed me,changed a wire in it,n that was it !!!

but he suggested to get relay installed so i dont have to face this issue again as he said there's more load on it,so i got relays for both low n high beam with low being the extra.
he also said that now light will be more bright

saved my money and now can drive in peace at night time
