Unhappy 7th gen Civic: Missing and Stalling

    Hello

    Car: 7th Generation PKDM CIVIC

    Issues:
All this happens when car obtains its optimum temperature.

1: Missing at idle, like it
    breathing RMP varies between 300-800.
    2:
Stalls while taking a turn in 1st gear.
    3: Giving fuel average
    7km/l.

    Procedures done:
    1:
    TP sensor changed.
    2:
    IAC valve changed.
    3:
    crank sensor checked.
    4:
    Throttle Serviced.
    5:
    Injector assembly replaced.
    6:
    Tappet adjusted.
    7:
    Spark plug replaced.
    8:
    Ignition Coils replaced.

It was done on 9th jan, car was good again. But all of the symptoms are back
    today, same missing and stuff.
Now mechanic are insisting that the
Valves are burned down and are leaking pressure.
My daily drive is of 100+km, really tired of this.

Looking forward to some Idea bulbs.

    Thanks.

To rule out his diagnosis just do a compression test. Also is your fuel pressure good? Dont go changing random stuff. Diagnose and then change what is faulty.

When car is getting readings from Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor and sees the car is not at optimum temperature the car is in Open Mode which is running rich. Which means your ECU runs your car on default settings. If when car is cold you are getting no problems then it means when your car gets into Closed Loop Operation then there is some problem.

In Closed loop your O2 is monitored to adjust your AFR(Air to Fuel Ratio). If your O2 sensor is bad then ecu cant manage AFR. This may or May not lit Check Engine Light.

    There are three things

    1. Spark
    2. Fuel
    3. Air

Diagnose stepwise. Check for if your coil pack is good, you are having good fuel pressure, you do not have clogged air filter. These are just regular things to check. But I suppose you need to focus on sensor readings pressure readings from each cylinder.

Thanks for the closed loop operation thing, it was new to me
the stuff changed was not random, those parts were faulty and after all the changes car was running perfectly

1st: My civic does not have an O2 sensor, It sounds strange but there is no space for sensor in exhaust manifold. wiring is present, thus, Check light is always on.
    2nd: coil pack is good.
3rd: air filter is not clogged.
4th: will check fuel pressure tomorrow.

bro mostly car stalling is due to fuel mixture.. please get the value of Idle Mixture Adjuster (IMA) sensor. get it checked from authorized honda.. they have the standard parameters n will compare ur car's figures with standard.. get it scanned from them... its better to go to them, make them understand ur problem and they will not charge u much. at max 1k..

n bro go to honda.. they will check fuel pressure as well..i think they charge Rs. 800 or 1200 for complete tuning.. which includes checking the value of all sensors.. if u r karachi based... visit honda drive in, there's mechanical supervisor ayyaz n nadeem... both r highly co operative plus they never ask u to replace this thing or that unless its extremely essential... my advise is to go them n get ur fuel supply system thoroughly checked..

Your car needs new valve seals, not valves. But do not get it done from any road side mechanic, go to some one who has first hand experience of overhauling Honda Engines.

    Aa yes.
actually wiring is of an auto transmission civic, so grips for auto transmission are there, errors are of those 3 grips and 2 are of O2 sensors which are no where in car.

    Thanks for helping me out.

Isn't it better to replace the whole engine instead of replacing valve seals, have some very bad past experiences regarding overhauls and engine works?

If a professional does it, trust me there is nothing better than getting it done on your original motor. If you go to Ustaad Jee who lives in an "I am DAYYUM awesome" fantasy and asks his "chotuu" to fiddle with your car, you'll most probably want to dump it in a river and buy something else.

and the world is full of "Ustaad jee".
well, I do have a good mechanic with first hand overhauling experience of honda engine, He also worked in Toyota multan for 6+ years.
estimated expense is of 30K and I will get a kabli engine in less than that.
