Default No Confidence In Honda Civic Vti Oriel Brakes

    Salam,
I have Honda Civic 2003 Oriel. Its breaking is fine when slightly the pedal is applied/press slightly/slowly, however when pushed further a voice Grrrrrr, Grrrrr comes, and i feel that I am loosing control on the car. I fear that if I will apply the brake suddenly the car will not stop and will produce the sound GRRRRRRR and will (God Forbid) hit somewhere.
It happens even on small speed breakers with even a speed of 30km/h.
Few days back in Karachi at night there was a little bit rain and the road was slippery. A bike on road in front of me began to slip and I being behind him, had to apply brakes. The car was moving at 40Km/H, i applied the brakes softly but the moment i felt slippery with a voice Grrrrrrrrrrr, i feared that my vehicle would hit the bike. But thank God all things were safe.
I got it checked from Honda Drive Inn. They say there is no problem in brakes. No ABS light is ignited, Its functioning OK. Brake pads are also OK as per Honda, but i doubt as the car has run 130000KMs.
When I drive, corolla GLI, XLI, Vitz even land cruser, i feel quite comfortable with brakes. i drive with full confidence, but at the time of driving Honda Vti, i hesitate to run it above 70km/h
gusy pl help what i do?

the grrr grr is a good sign
    ABS is working

over inflated tyres or busted tyres
use soft tyres with correct tyre pressure

rear discs if fake or low quality also cause front tyres to lock b.t.w

    29/30 psi is good enough.

When did you last change your tyres?

Try getting hold of Yokohama Decibel V550/V551 or Michelin Primacy.

    In 195/65/R15 size.

brake pads could be worn out plus the tires could have gone hard over time so they might not be gripping the road properly.

About the Grr Grr sound it can be the abs but it should not kick in at normal braking. It kicks in when you brake hard and your car looses traction.

vehicle maintenance records shall be maintained w.r.t to odo meter reading not by days / months.

tyres need change between 35000 ~ 40,000 kms, Lubricants shall be changed avg 5000 km interval, auto transmission filter & fluid need change at 60,000+ kms, brake fluid flushing at every tyre change,

I have learned (brake fluid flush & transmission filter change ) through this very forum.

nasir's altis was doing the same
reduced the air pressure from 30 to 28 and it was fine then!
but it seems ur tyres have done 40-50,000 km's or more. they must be very hard and not gripping good now.time to change

brake discs have metal strips. if they are near completion they make the shrieking sound. people who drive very softly, thr cars brake pads last way longer. if they have life left why change?

whenever i apply brakes i hear no sound. Moreover i drive my car very softly (with love) and don't make hard screeching/braking. Even i apply brake paddle with a very light foot, that's y I m surprized why ABS get on. If brake pads themselves indicate that these are to be replaced with their specific sound then i think i still need to listen to that sound before changing brake pads. As far as tyres are concerned , by look these are fine. However, I reduce the air pressure and will update about the outcome. One thing more I have heard that with less air pressure in tyres you experience high fuel consumption, is it true.??

It won't like go down from 10km/l to 6km/l, the change is not much. And yeah if the car has ran 130k and brake pads haven't been changed then get em changed along with brake fluid.
