    Default Honda VTI 2003 Prosmetic

    Two questions.

    1. Car tunning: is it any better to do it at honda ? or at a mechnic shop ? Whats invovled in tunning ?
    2. Tappet Adjustments or OverHaul : I don't have the manual but the car has done 120K Do i need to get this done ? Again from Hodna or a Mechanic ?

Is the tunning for this old car done through computer or just normal adjustments ?

I dont think that honda people clean the ATF filter. Either get honda genuine ATF or something better like Mobil's ATF. IF you change it from somewhere else make sure they do not overfill it.
Also get complete brake oil flushed and check the condition of brake pads.
If the fuel filter needs to be replaced replace it, as it will increase the life of fuel pump and injectors.
Get wheel alignment done if it has been too long since the last alignment.
Also check the condition of all the hoses, belts and bearings(are they making any noise?) Also check for any radiator fluid and engine oil leak.
It is better to be safe than sorry. If you spend a little money now you wont have to spend a lot more later, when the parts start to fail due to negligence.

Unfortunately the Transmission Oil change as per Honda3S is just a drain and fill. They dont do Transmission filter cleaning or or anything ..
I dont think they even open the transmission . ( remeber this is an automatic Transmission)
any idea on how much the Mobils' ATF cost ?
