Why are you changing the transmission bro????
New transmission will cost you round about 20-30k depends upon condition of transmission in market of Pindi. Also new genuine honda clutch plate + pressure plate set etc will cost you 10-12k. So total cost will be 40-45k with genuine parts replacement +Labour.
I advice you to take the reliable mechanic to mithu ka ihaata, Saddar for best collection of transmission. Also don't replace the transmission in mithu ka ihaata. They are all thieves, don't trust on them, they take out most of parts from your car.
So take your car to reliable mechanic on which you can trust 100% and ask him to replace the transmission with genuine honda parts.
Thanks bro, this thread for why I'm changing it: https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/eng...-7th-gen-civic
There is a knocking sound in neutral which is now also in 1st & 2nd gear. I tried everything including Xulfiqar bhai advice and later on also changed clutch/pressure plate but all in vain.
Do you know how much will they reduce for my old gearbox? I hope changing the plates wouldn't be needed again.
okay then go towards swapping the transmission to new one. Not expecting too much reduction of price after giving old transmission to them, only 5-6k will reduce from their side.
If they demanding your old transmission then its mean they will change the transmission of your car in their workshop where non-experienced guggar ustads operates the patients.
I wouldn't recommend you to give your old transmission to them
