    Default Eurostar tyres quality

    Guys,

I brought a brand new Honda city prosmatec a month back which came with Eurostar tyres. Everyone insisted me to change them but I said that warranty would be void so I continued with them. It has driven hardly 1600 KMs and I've noticed a bubble on of the tyre coupled with a crack!!! I want to claim it in warranty. anyways, what sort of pathetic tyre quality are they making? Is this the result that I get for buying a Pakistani product?

Tyre experts please advise if tyres are replaced in warranty or not and also which brand would be suited if i replace them?

Tyres are covered under warranty make a claim with honda. And you can install any tyre in your car as long as you stick to the same size and as for why eurostar are there in new cars,it's because of the law by our govt back in 2002-3 that all new cars will have local tyres installed. Why this law because Ahmad mukhtar owns general tyres( the company which makes eurostars) he was a minister back then. Before 2002 new cars used to have imported tyres.

+1. I heard a similar story.. Your tyre will be replaced by a so called new one.. I think its better to replace all 4 once u replace the damaged one.

    hello mate,

i bought my honda city aspire 1.5 prosmatec 5 months back and it came with eurostar tyres.

These tyres are absolutely pathetic and are very very hard and you might feel hard suspension when driving.

i used these new tyres for only a week and someone suggested 185/R15 Tyres for my honda city on pakwheels.

I used the same aspire 1.5 rims it came along with and bought Michelin tyres. believe me the car turned out to be so so comfortable, the suspension has gone 4 times better than it was with eurostar tyres.

its sad how we get pathetic qulity for millions we spent. i paid hona 1.8 million for my honda city 1.5 aspire prosmatec and i got pathetic tyres and later i had to get them changed for extra 30k + eurostar tyres.

Hii. We bought Aspire Prosmatec last November. Believe me , Eurostar Sucks. I could feel even small Pebbles like Something sharp rock & could not ignore even small Pits . I changed the tyres To YOKOhama Adv db & Believe me & everyone else who tells you that it is a Huge difference & Comfort you will Get.

Suspension warranty WILL NOT BE VOID if you stick to same size as original i. 185/65-15
I did go for 195/65-15 but this is the maximum you should go for Aspire/City 15" Rims. Do claim warranty, get a new Tyre & replace all 4 Tyres. it will be worth it.

Euro stars lasts long ... we got them changed at 50K with some remaining tread and a single puncture in three years but having said that .. they are not comfortable at all .. they suck at comfort but not at durability ...

I bought Civic 2005 Exi, it came with eurostar 195/65/R15, my experience with it is not so bad but the comfort is not there of Honda with these tyres as My Father have Honda Civic 2010 with energy savers, awesome grip on road what ever the conditions are.

I installed Eurostars about 10K Kms agao and they are wonderful tyres for the price. No grip issues whatsoever. Medium sofyness. Perfect for Pakistani roads.

tyres are claimed in a seperate warranty form manufacturer of tyres, so tell your dealership, they will either facilitate you or give you number of relevant general tyre company person who will entertain you, either way they do have warranty and all this is mentioned in the warranty booklet in the car.

The law is certain percent (40% I guess) of a car parts should be paki made it doesn't say anywhere that tyres should maybe manufacturer found it more profitable to install paki tyre
