Unhappy Is that a radiator leakage?

    Hi,

I have Honda Civic Prosmetic 2010. Twice recently I had radiator boiling problem where suddenly hot gauge went up. First time when that happened I took it to Honda Airport centre in Lahore. They found no problem, there was no leakage and radiator fan was running normal. Second time same incident happened to me last week again.

Now, I filled radiator and reserve bottle with water and my observation is that in 70-80km drive radiator took about 70% reserve water from bottle. Is that normal? I do not see any leakage water on floor.

Any clues what I am experiencing? I really do not trust Honda workshops so does anyone know where I take my car in Rwp/Isb?

    Thanks everyone.

Might you are running a car in lower gears mostly, or pressing too much cluch is also cause heat generation.
Also look is radiator cap is okay? or tight enough plus observe blockage of radiator due some salted water or water with impurities.
Try to use good coolent like caltex long life with misture of 60/40 (coolent / water).

This is Prosmetic so so low gear etc is out of question. Radiator cap is okay and radiator itself looks clean outside.

bro take it to some other 3S and get it checked. this is a very serious issue and if not rectified immediately can cause major damages. change the coolant also.

The cooling system most probably has a pin hole leakage which is not detectable easily because the minute amount of water or coolant evaporates quickly due to heat.

Tighten all cooling system clamps. If none were loose, change the rubber hoses as it is not a big expense and save your engine from possible bigger issues. Check the metallic coolant pipe below the engine very carefully as it might be leaking.

Which one is best S3 in Rwp/Islamabad? I visited Peshawar Road S3 once and it was a nightmare. Those guys while changing the oil drained it and started engine. Luckily I was standing by and got it switched off immediately. That is how professional these guys are.
@hash4u car mileage is 65k around.

Quick Update: Got the car checked today by a mechanic. It turned out radiator cap problem. It was not working properly and letting water leak go from radiator to reserve bottle. Going to observe next two days before I put in coolant.

I could not find Genuine at few shops so replaced with a kabli one. Mechanic tested and confirmed it is working. Should I still go for a genuine?

8gen radiator cap is of very good quality, very strange that a 2010 model cap turned faulty, anyways i also agree that you should go for OEM. you can easily get it from 3S.
