    Can anyone suggest me how to rectify the problem of rich air-fuel mixture problem of my Honda civic exi 2006.

    Have you reset the ECU?
    BTW is this situation after some repair work?

    Thanks brother. What is a ECU and how it can be reset and where does its reset switch is located. Finally what does it mean by BTW. Is it a technical word or English short-word for "Between". Please give me a advice promptly as I have a plan to get my car check up today.

    sorry for the short english. by btw i meant "by the way"

    Anyway, when there is some repair or cleaning done to the intake system, or sensor cleaning, throttle body service, etc, the ECU needs to be reset so that the new idling parameters are recalculated by the ECU. This way it relearns the amount of fuel injected for different conditions of the engine. Yours is exi and if its has a original engine, there will be no oxygen sensor in it. So the final mixture is set by the adjustment knob behind the glove box. If its not disturbed, i will suggest NOT to touch it as its factory set. First cater all the other problems.

    Hows is your throttle body health/cleanliness? And injectors?

    If you're in Lahore,take your car to magic motors and get the tune up done along with the injector inspection and cleaning.

    They don't charge much and the work is very satisfactory .
