    Default help needed

    i m having a problem with my honda civic 2000 which has surfaced today .... actually the fuel ended while the car was on road .... reserve light was showing up and i was not in mood of stopping considering i will refuel it once close to my petrol pump .... but it finished. i got filled it up somehow and now car is jerking violently in slow speeds ..... any idea wat could have gone wrong? i think it has something to do with fuel supply because got its cng tank filled an hour ago and its not jerking on that . ... plz reply fast coz i hate to drive it on cng

    Check the fuel pump, as it is the culprit, you will facing missing on low rpms.

    thats charlie am facing jerking on low rpms like 2k-3k , how to check fuel pump?

    Fuel pump motor is cooled via petrol, if there is too low petrol in the tank it can damage the pump motor.

    You can't check it, but you have to replace it. This is the problem in honda. I had same problem in my Civic 2005. I took it to the workshop and he asked me if you have driving the car till the E point. I said Yes, he said, you are victim of Bad Fuel pump, as the fuel pump is present little above the end of the tank, so after the level is down, it will work but it can not get any fuel which will result in missing of the car at low rpms and if i happens for the long, its GONE....... In Civic at least keep quarter of the tank filled all the time for best performance.

    first check fuel filter. also i guess air can find its way in it too after a refill following an empty tank.
