Default Honda civic vti oriel 2005 tyres suggestion

    Assalam o alaikom dear fellows
Please advise me on putting new shoes to my oriel 2005. I have browsed through various pakwheels forums as well as internet, I came across many options and finally I have short listed two brands
    1. Continental comfort contact cc5
    2. Yokohama advan db v551

Now, I 've made up my mind for continental ones. Question arises here that I m not freak of any upgrades even a minor one. So, I m in opinion to get oem recommended tyre size i.e. 185/65/15, but I have talked to tyre dealers they recommend me to go for 195/65/15.. my car does not have cng so I intend to have good milage plus a silent tyre so willing to go for stock size.
So, what you experts say, m I making a right decision to go for oem recommended size in conti cc5?? One thing more, I m also concerned about not damaging suspension/steering parts. So thats why opting for oem recommended size..

Please shed some light on it

well 195/65 r15 would raise the ride height bit and also steering might get heavy ideally size would be 195/60 r15 you can also put sizes in a tyre size calculator and see for your self, however 195/65 r15 is commonly available so you coudnt go wrong with it, as far as brand is concerned both are really good, cc5 is better for highway driving and adman is much more comfortable and silent, in the end i would decide by whichever one has the most recent manufacturing date and that the date is exactly the same on all 4 tyres or alt east not more than 1-2 week difference

yokohoma is more silent, wet grip i found to be same, especially since even the wet grip rating is same, i personally have driven advan in 110km/h on motorway in pouring monsoon rain and felt very secure, drove in similar conditions on motorway in michellen xm2 by the way and didn't feel secure especially as they are low rolling resistance tyres, remember that if tyre consumes less fuel or is low rolling resistance generally it will have less grip, among yokohoma and continental so yoko is more silent and both have same wet grip and fuel efficiency, i like the tread pattern of advan better, your choice and don't think so much get them already! just go for most recent mfg dates

no not really, mostly thats the sound form your suspension, silent tyres mean less rolling noise or tyre roar,i remember in features advan had something in the overall tread that minimises micro vibration and thus also contributes to a smooth ride over un smooth roads

Brother continental CC5 are better than both Yoko Advan & XM2 and this also reflects on its pricing.

Get continental eyes closed from their Noorani Kabab outlet.

Even Continental Eco Contact 5 are very good.

Thanx bro.. 185/65/15 would b alright? ? I mean will it fit n look alright on 05 oriel alloy rim??
Bro have u used this particular cc5 brand urself??
So m assuming from all the posts in this thread n going through other threads of pakwheels that cc5 r more silent than yoko advan db, is it so?? N does same hold good when encountering potholes or road surface abnormalities, cc5 reflect less noise than yoko advan db? ?
I need plush feeling like going thru cat eye reflectors or potholes. Though m a very careful driver but some how un intentionally one hits these so which one of these 2 has more plush feeling than the other??

Brother 185/65 R15 are exact OEM and highly recommended also written on your driver's side door.

I have used eco contact 5 and Premium Contact 2 in City 2007 and Civic 2005 and have found them better than Yokohama Advan in noise and comfort.

What price are u getting for that size ?

just keep in mind no "ECO" series even if its form pirelli can not be better than a performance or touring series from another brand tests have shown, in my opinion both tyres are equally matched but advan takes the lead in comfort and silence, whatever the choice its been two weeks almost and you still are confused and not getting tyres, if you are fine running your current tyres and which if i remember were 205/65 r15 and you even created two threads then why the worry?? if concerned about oem size then get new tyres already!
