Thread: Generator belt wear off

    Default Generator belt wear off

    Got the leakage issue fixed

    was that the issue? oil leaking on the belt caused the belt to wear off?
    once it wore off at end of ramzan n i got it changed, today it again wore off n i couldnt start my car, mechanic came n changed it, why is it happening? now atleast leakage is fixed so that means em safe or its something else causing it?

    car is civic 05 vti

    The following reasons:

    1) Worn out pulleys/ grooves
    2) Misalignment of belt relative to the pulleys
    3) improper belt tension
    4) Sub-standard belt installed
