Default honda civic meter in khyber

    Dear Friends,

I have installed Honda Civic 1997 model speedometer in khyber with G15A. Its not showing me the correct speed, if i am at 100km/h its showing me 180km/h. Can someone help me out, i need to know how to fix this issue?? Its also not showing the correct temp, the moment i switch on the ignition, it starts showing half temp without even starting the car.

    Regards,
    Adeel

rpm is fine as your engine is also 4 cylinder.

Regarding speed, you have to regenerate the same signal from sensor for a said speed of civic car. Installing just the civic's speed sensor may not solve your problem as you dont know that they spin at same rate for a same speed. If both car's sensors rotate at same rate for same speed of car then you can install civic's sensor directly. Fitting in may be a problem though.

Temperature sensor of civic will solve the problem, in my opinion.

Bhai its placed in engine, open hood and see which wire is going inside towards dash. Its usually at the back side of engine as its closer to dash.
If electrician installed any sort of speed sensor u will see a small chip with 3 wires coming out of it,

If chona lagaya hai than faulty sensor installed go back to the person who has installed it and ask him to solve the issue bcz u gave him money for a correct installed setup

@ Deadly Flame, thats i need to know, whr is this sensor?
@meh1, this is what i need help for,i dnt think so G15A sensor is compatible with Honda Civic meter, but i have scene ppl made honda speedometer work with other engines. There is person in lhr as well who is saying he will install some kit n speedometer will work fine, but i need to help to do it on my own
even if you change the sensor, the tyre size difference will still be there and you may not get the exact speed.

165/65/13 is way smaller than 1997 original tyre size, that is I guess 195/65/14 (not sure)

in that case, the difference in the reading will be about 12% increase.

    You have been wisely advised.

There are times when one makes a mistake (in excitement) and then spends alot more to cover up that mistake or make it just work. We all do such kind of stuff.

But Its easier to go back and rectify. Its just a cluster. Let it go and buy the GTi one.
