Question civic 2013 oriek pros - battery dead ??

    Dear All,
My car wont start. All lights inside dashboard lit up once i turn the key into ignition. But when i try to start the car it makes a few electrical [current sort of] sounds and thats all. During those sounds the lights inside the dashboard turns on and off continuously.

Can someone suggest to me whether it is a battery problem? if yes is it safe to jump start my car using another car ?? Any one with similar experience ??

You can jump start. I did the same with our 8th gen back in 2012 when it was a week old only because I left the lights turned on and the battery died

Actually i have to change the battery and i got confused when i read on pakwheels somewhere that it replacing battery in 9th gen civic can reset some settings and upset the ECU [ or computer thingy] . So some special steps needs to be taken. But as per the conversation above it seems nothing special needs to be done while replacing the battery or jump start.

Guys i tried jump starting the car using honda city 2006 but the "operation" was unsuccessful [ probably bcz of Ampere thingy] - so i called in an electrician and got the battery checked. He jump started the car using 70 Amp battery [ may be 65] - Next i thought i had to change the battery but then he noticed there was no Acid inside so they poured in some and now the car is fine.

Some settings got reset [ i am not sure which ones] but from the Imid i can see the km/litre was set to "--" and the clock is now messed up. I am writing all this just to let the future reader know
