well its depends what do u wanna do with ur ride,

    1. r u gonna use it for daily purpose or occasionally, if u use it for daily purpose then i wont recommend 18", i would suggest 17" max

    2. also depends what do u want from ur ride, (performance, outlook or ride/suspension)

if u put anything 18", then ull loose performance and u might loose the handling as well

18" defintely will look good on ur car, but also ur ride will be too bumpy, ull feel every single bump on the road, and ur tires might touch ur quater panel if u go hard on bumps

i wouldnt recommend 18" for civic cus it got small engine, if u put on v6 accord then its good

i got 19" on current ride rite now and its ok cus my car can handle it i can put up to 22".

    Recommended Tire size: 215/40/18

    Goodluck.

I had 215/45/18 front, 255/40/18 rear on my car and used to drive it regularly but mostly inside islamabad. The ride comfort is gone, and you'll be able to tolerate the ride only if you're a very enthusiastic driver (or you truly love the looks) . Even on islamabad roads you wont feel comfortable and would feel the bumps.

If you dont care about comfort, then (Y).
I felt just about 5% reduction in fuel economy (mainly due to lightweight alloys), but the car became slow low down the major cause of which were the fat tires. if you're thinking of putting the alloys locally available here, you're car's unsprung weight will increase which in turn would reduce the added handling advantage of the bigger alloys/low profile tires.
Also, dont increase/decrease the overall diameter of your tires by more than 3%.
