Default Honda civic exi 2005 power steering advice required.

Both my car power steering rack & pinion (Kangi) has become loose and also its power pump make noise. Can anyone advice me that should I replace the entire hydraulic power steering system with honda reborn electric power steering assembly. Is this modification works well.

You can get Kabli Rack for 9,000/-. You can get your PS pump overhauled or replace it with kabli for 4000/-.

If you were in Karachi, i would have suggested you a reliable place. I am sure you can get the same rates from LHR.

You cannot install Reborn's steering in 2005 Civic. You can replace the rack with 7th Generation EPS but it would be a very very hard job to get it wired properly.

Thanks Fahad for your advice. Well I have got rates here in Lahore for kabli kangi and it normally cost up to Rs 6500. My car kangi tie rod ends are ok, the only problem with kangi is that it has some play which makes noise like something is loose while driving on rough road. Do you think it can be repaired from a machinist and still it will not make steering hard. Please advice me.

You cannot install reborn's eps but you can get a civic 7th gen eps assembly installed easily, i own a civic 7th gen and its running an eps of jdm 7th gen. All you need is a good electrician who can bridge the eps with your ecu.
Let me know if you dont find a good electrician, i shall prefer you a guy who did mine.
