Default new CIVIC 9th gen worst crashes reasons

    salam all

    as d topic says
new honda civic 9th gen is involved in many worst crashes in pakistan.

me and many others also want to know d reason y these worst crashes happens here in pk

i hav conclude these crashes happens due to 15" rims and low quality tyres (15" size matters alto due to lesser width).

i'hve bad experiance with a friends car with stock alloys n tyres
car slides at sharp turn while minor brake press
but alhumdulillah v r safe from crash

me too also own a 9th gen civic
    but didnt face any problem

i hav changed the rims in to 17" very first day.

    do share ur experience

i have few evidence of crash reasons due to stock 15" wheels

i think ATLAS HONDA should take serious action to resolve this problem
for d sake of precious lifes and worthy cars

in my opinion, Pakistan Govt Should make it rule, that every car above 1000cc must have Speed Limiter (Imported or Local), Should be installed in already sold cars and must come by default in New Cars... Speed Limited to 120 Km/Hr Maximum and if anyone have to get it removed, he should pay Rs. 300,000.00 per year!!!!

Phir 9th Gen kya, har model ke cars k accident ke ratio bht kam ho jaye ge!!!!

Conclusion!!! There is no problem with the 9th Gen Civic... Problem is in our minds!!!! We drive like Manics!!!! Our Govt has given us free hand to do, what you wana do!!! Jab tak Speed Limitation pay hum logon ko Danda nhai millay ga, hum log theek honay walon mein sei nhai hai!!! Sad but true!!!

I guess it's time that in cars, at least in those above 2 million, something called as Traction/ Stability Control needs to be introduced, in JDMs it's there in even 660cc cars.
One or two times I have come across situations in which if my car didn't have TRC I would not have been here typing this.

I have never been in rollover/ loss of control situation in my Cultus . Does that mean that it has excellent handling and braking?

    According to Honda fanboys, yes.

Could the increased height of the rear end be a cause for this? Nearly all Civic generations before that hugged the ground compared to other cars like Corolla, etc.

I have noticed about 4 11th gen corolla crashes on this forum and I dont even come here that often. Its only been what 6 months that it got launched. Many users have mentioned and rightly so that its not the car but most probably the driver who is at fault. The damage on most cars tells that they were traveling at high speeds. I am from Lahore and I dont think there is single road safe to drive above 80km other than the ring road.

As some users mentioned, attitude also plays a role. Far many people take it for a sports car than a family sedan. Its not entirely their fault either. I have noticed the Civic commercial being aired for past few days on TV. They are promoting it like a sports car and literally say the word attitude in it. Instead of marketing on its safety features like standard SRS airbags and EBD on all models and the fuel efficiency, they make this stupid cheap ad about skype, back camera and that stupid key, with growling engine sound in the background.

Also not to forget, motorbikes are a plague and one of the top causes of accidents on the roads daily. Some thing needs to be done. They think they are great riders when the cut past in front of you, yet they dont know its the car's driver who applied the brakes gently to slow the car down just enough to avoid the crash.

I moved here from overseas 3 years ago and had a hard time adjusting to the traffic. Believe me if I drive like I am used to drive overseas, following all my rules and regulation, I would be running over and killing 5-10 bikers every day. Stress much!

traction control is not a solution to stupidity - if you are trying to take a sharp corner on this car at 200 km/h - no traction control can help you - you are confirmed human qeema at that point. (regardless of the fact that this civic handles like a pig - it cannot turn - ever see a wild boar? - thats how it handles)

The solution is to implement road laws - as they are none currently - people driving honda civics think they are in ferrari 599 and the boys on CD70 think they are on fireblades..

I have always felt our traffic violation penalties are too small compared to nature of the offense and this contributes to the problem. 300-600 PKR for a traffic ticket doesn't worry anyone, maybe the poor suzuki driver who is hauling load for a living and would not go over 40kmph anyway.

there are dozen of rx8 running with 1jz/2jz these engine in rx8 ruins the traction control but we don't see many crashes of rx8 if traction control plays such important role keeping the car on road then why we don't see these rx8 been crashed ?????
