Default new CIVIC 9th gen worst crashes reasons

    salam all

    as d topic says
new honda civic 9th gen is involved in many worst crashes in pakistan.

me and many others also want to know d reason y these worst crashes happens here in pk

i hav conclude these crashes happens due to 15" rims and low quality tyres (15" size matters alto due to lesser width).

i'hve bad experiance with a friends car with stock alloys n tyres
car slides at sharp turn while minor brake press
but alhumdulillah v r safe from crash

me too also own a 9th gen civic
    but didnt face any problem

i hav changed the rims in to 17" very first day.

    do share ur experience

i have few evidence of crash reasons due to stock 15" wheels

i think ATLAS HONDA should take serious action to resolve this problem
for d sake of precious lifes and worthy cars

I doubt all same guys would be driving that 9th gen. There is something wrong with this car and it lacks that wow civic factor.

Is there a possibility of asking the actual owners involved in these accidents that what happened? Probably then we can conclude something.

Yeah the drivers would end up blaming one and other as they did leaving the scene. leaving the fanboys here bashing each other dad's car.

I really don't understand the fanboy-ism behind these family sedans with tiny engines, what's the point really?
Be realistic people, and the fanboys please grow up!

Fanboy-ism behind these tiny engined cars is directly promotional to growing up watching only 2 family sedan makers all their lives.
One being Ronnie Coleman with testosterone issues and second being just a stunt movie star with some shades on.

1JZ is the most sh*t choice for rx8 , 90% of the OEM stability intended by manufacturer is lost. And yes no working TCS or DSC

My car is OEM with the rotary. I can drive really agressively in the bends even 90kph and dsc+tcs will still slow me down at the right time. Really smooth and precise car if left genuine

I would say that wow civic factor was missing 7 gen civic but the reason is 8 gen civic and 9 gen are the fastest civic produce in all gen and 9 gen have comparatively soft suspension and light weight body resulting in less road grip and less cornering ability the most ppl are "if my friend 8 gen can to this my 9 gen can do it too" and end up like this the fact remains the same that ppl don't know limits of their car

we don't have many prius here in karachi (maybe ppl safe fuel by driving a mehran ) so never so such scene in real but have heard that when a prius is floored even a eletric motor give some torque(which increase over all hp) but still this thing goes over my mind that prius 1.8l is 100hp having kerb weight of 1,420 kg (correct me if I am wrong) and civic have 138hp having kerb weight of 1,270kg (Again correct me if I am wrong) how can prius do that

May be a Prius owner engaged into a race while the reborn owner didn't even notice and kept on going normally.

Here are some corrections of your assumptions about Prius.
The engine is 2ZR-FXE and here are the specs, source WikiPedia:
The Toyota 2ZR-FXE is a 1.8 L (1798 cc) Atkinson cycle variant of the 2ZR-FE. It has the same bore and stroke, but the compression ratio is increased to 13.0:1, and the inlet valve closing is retarded. The net result is that the engine has a greater effective expansion than compression. Output is producing 73 kW (98 hp) and 142 Nm (105 lbf ft) of torque, paired with electric motor/generators in the hybrid drive system; together the engine and electric motors produce up to 100 kW (134 hp) and 207 Nm (153 lbf ft)pm.

    And curb weight is:
    1,379 kg (3,040 lb)
    8th Gen Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 GLX 2006; 3rd Gen Toyota Prius 1.8 S-Touring 2010; 11th Gen Toyota Corolla 1.3 GLi AT 2014.

The solution is to implement road laws - as they are none currently - people driving honda civics think they are in ferrari 599 and the boys on CD70 think they are on fireblades..
Being a civic owner ALHAMDULILLAH i would say Ur right on ferrari thing even when m driving civic i feel like m driving a ferrari 599 dont no y bit i do have that feel :p :p

Some times it's not drivers at fault the roads are not defined properly no sighs no crash barriers no lines badly designed junctions badly lit roads all add to accidents sorry the most important point road surface

peak torque my friend, that comes in civic after vtec kicks in and in an electric motor from 0 rpm.

yeah bro that the most possible explanation a petrol engine depends upon "timing, peak torque, lower end torque, high end torque etc but a electric motor generate same power which is it peak power

This is serious issue regarding road safety and should be researched properly by highway or traffic authorities.
