Default Anyone having Pirelli Cinturato P1 tyres for Civic 2014?

    Hi Guys,

I will be getting delivery of my new Civic 2014 next week. I will be getting the stock tyres replaced with some good branded ones (in the same size as stock). I need a soft (comfy) & silent with reasonable road grip for city or motorway driving.

There are of course a lot of brands with various tyre models available out there but I have short listed the following:

Yokohama Advan DB decibel (Made in Japan)
Pirelli Cinturato P1 (Made in Turkey)
    Michellin Energy XM2

I have seen a lot of comments & feedback here on Advan DB and Michellin.
However, not a lot of feedback for Pirelli Cinturato P1 tires.
Overall, its feedback is pretty good on Internet internationally. But I was keen on listening to feedback from our local users...

So, anybody using P1s in their ride? Please provide some feedback regarding your experience so far?
Howz the grip, road noise and comfort level? Are you satisfied?
And how would you compare it with Yoko Advan DB?

I have used Pirelli Cinturato P7 Blue 205/55/16 and used them for good 50k kms but then i switched to Yokohama YK580, and it has clocked 20k km till now and it is the best tyre i've driven in my life i must admit. I have used Pirelli Michellin Bridgestone Good Year but this Yokohama YK580 is best so far and i have tested them at speeds till 180km/h and they were very quiet and very strong road grip.

That's odd. Pilot Exalto 2 was offered to me in 215/50-17 and for a cost lesser than 21000 per tyre. Yes Primacy was only available in 205/55-16 but.......Oh well. As for the replica rim, please confirm its ET and weight etc. otherwise it's a head turner.

Well, knowledge gained from your experience. The tyre has some good reviews online. How much did they cost and from where?

Got them for 55600Rs all four tyres and manufacturing is first week of 2014. A friend who imports tyres rims and other stuff got them for me. Made in Japan. S Drive is available in some shops at isb but YK580 isn't, S Drive is also very good tyre and a friend recently got Advan Sports for his Accord and seem to be pleased with them.

The most expensive tyre in 205/55/16 i have seen is Bridgestone Potenza S02 priced 23k per tyre.

^^^ Its designed for sports oreinted cars. No wonder they are expensive. Great tyres but like I always say, you gotta sacrifice "something". But who cares about noise, ride comfort or quality in an Aston Martin lolz

I recent replaced my stock tires in civic 2014 with P1 cinturato (turkish make- 195/65/15) from United tyre, blue area ISB. The price was 9500 each tyre. they are soft with good grip and very quiet. I strongly recommend them as the price is good as well as the price is not bad.

Being the initiator of this thread, I find it necessary to share my own feedback of P1 Cinturato Verde (made in turkey) since I finally bought it couple of months ago from Blue Area ISB.

I have driven in the city as well as on the motorway and I have to say they are pretty good to say the least. I can't really compare with other tyres since I haven't driven the same or similar car on any of the other tyres being discussed. However, P1 Cinturato's are comfortable (definitely soft), quite and have good grip as well. At least, I haven't come across a situation till now where I felt the car loosing grip because of the tyres and I can tell you that I don't drive very slow or calmly.

To sum it all up, I am quite satisfied and happy with the P1s. Just make sure you get fresh tyres, imported through proper channel and avoid the smuggled ones which are available in the market at a cheaper rate but you will find them hardened and relatively old (manufacture date).

The only thing remaining to be seen is how long they last and that is something only time will tell.

Don't go for brand go for what your requirement is. Yokohama Prielli Bridgestone all are good brands. Advand db has its own areas of expertise and P1 has its own. Yokohama tyres last very long no matter they are advan S drive YK580 or A drive. But actually we should replace tyres after every 50-60k km.
