Guys, another leak on the launch says that Atlas would be launching 1.5T (or the top of the line variant) earlier in June/ July costing around 3.1 million similar to what Indus did with the Grande, launching the Xlis and Glis later - probably to boost sales of the top model.
The rest of the 1.8s would be launched at year end or early next year.
No word on any of this from Atlas, so must be taken with a pinch of salt

1.5T is indeed a beast but 3.1m is expensive :/
They should launch 1.8 variants with it or else it won't sell that much.

I don't think it will going to launch at this price tag, if they launch it at 3.1m, people would prefer HRV more ...

I second the opinion of launching 1.8s along with 1.5T - as the price tag of 3.1 mil is a bit too much for the consumer here.

After my recent interactions with couple of hardcore car fanatics , I have a strong feeling that 1.5T wont be more than 26 as it shall be assembled in PAK for sure ...
they even wanted to bet with me as I was saying it seemed on the lower side for turbo, they said turbos here would be a new thing so all rookies are really impressed with it but mind you its only 1500 cc car with small mitsubishi Td01 turbo and without top features as delivered in USA , Canada etc etc

But the Thai version costs around 3.2 million and they manufacture the car rather then assemble it.

I seriously doubt this as the current 9th Gen top variant costs more than that, though I wish what you said is true....

      @rumour mill
If the bumper issue has been resolved, can we expect civic launch before June?

Yes however comparing prices of other nations can only be a rough guide. For Australia the turbo starts at about 2.5m and they are importing it completely from thailand.

As per my source, they are not going to import full vehicle (1.5T one), the only difference is engine, rest is all same ...
Don't know if they have changed there minds now ....

26 would be invoice price plus charges so should cost 28+

I'm sure they won't. The assembly line has been changed to accomodate the 1.5T variant.

2016 Civic V Corolla Crash Test:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpluxKuShFw

This is a safety test but this type of tests is a strong indicator of how solid the chassis is. The civic cabin has almost no distortion whereas the corolla the distortion is significant. The Civic earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) highest ranking, SUPERIOR, which is much better then the corolla's ranking.

This is important to point out that the next generation of the Type-R and SI models will use the regular models chassis. Hence there is a lot of handling potential in even the base model if tuned properly.
